indeed, way to set a tense and interesting tone guys, totally the kind of dark and ethereal music that gets me in the mood for an epic adventure...

Adventure music for me is light and joyful, as in going on an Adventure should be fun, at least that's how I feel about it, dark music wouldn't give me that feeling, but I guess it's personal

yes light and joyful music as you hack your way through the bodies of hoards of orcs in a dungeon filled with the tortured dead.

yep, makes perfect sense.

Motion controls? Sold. I was on the fence since I have the Steam version (and never got past the first hour because of a glitch where the main attack button didn't work), but now I'm definitely getting it. Was not going to get just the vanilla Skyrim for Switch, but this has real additions and shows that Bethesda really put a lot of effort into it. Combat has always been the weakest part of Elder Scrolls, and now it might be one of the best parts.

I bet you anything we'll get a thorough Digital Foundry comparison as soon as possible.

Yep, and I look forward to it very much. Just from an academic point of view it will be interesting to see where it falls between the two given that Switch is stronger than PS3/360, but weaker than PS4/Xbone.

Eh.
I played Skyrim on PS4 for about 8-10 hours, found it incredibly boring.
I doubt portability and Breath of the Wild fanfare will convince me to give it another shot.

I don't know any RPG you can accurately assess after only 8-10 hours. That's like playing two levels in a paltformer.

If I'm not having a good time and those 10 hours feel like 30 then I don't want to spend any more time than I feel I have to.

Wait, why are we getting a decade old port to the switch?

To show the world that 3rd party AAA games are possible on the Switch. Is it working?

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

Supports motion controls? Cool I would never imagine that coming from Bethesda. The game is definitely not the vainila version, looks clearly better. Let's hope is not plenty of bugs and a terrible framerate and it will be a good port, nice detail for Zelda fans btw, strange music choice though...

O-M-G!! motion controls are back baby :D

seriously, I am like more than 30 hours into this game on PC, but I'll start from scratch if I can play this masterpiece with motion controls

and I don't think it's the original edition, I play it at Very High settings and this one looks clearly more detailed and polished

don't mind my username, that was more than 10 years ago, I'm a different person now, amazing how people change ^_^

Motion controls? Count me in.
