I was one of the smart ones who knew BC wouldn't change its sales fortunes. Unfortunately many around here thought it would be a big selling point and would change the consoles fortunes.

Oh wow, you have more common sense than an ignorant minority. Good for you.

Still a great feature millions are using.

Millions are barely using you should say.  Average play time something like 34mins!

Btw you're the one who went off on a tangent suggesting I believed otherwise.  I didn't intend on stating the obvious but you had to be corrected.

Dividing 508m by 14.8m you get an average of 34.3 minutes, which is more than the 23minutes the data shows.

He said 508 million hours.

Actually, one of the best things about BC is many 360 titles actually play better on BC. Such as improved frame rates, faster loading, less texture pop in, no screen tear, etc.

Maybe so but that's going off topic. I just don't understand people's logic with what I mentioned.

Ok BC is good. But if you're going to bitch about having to pay for the last gen games on your current gen console then that's just a stupid statement to make. Firstly, if you want to play your last gen games then you keep your last gen console. Even 360 owners  that still want to play 360 games should because not every game is BC on Xbox One. Secondly, if you sold your last gen console then you more than likely sold your games because why would you even sell your console if you still had games you want to play on it. Therefore giving up your right to access that game.

My point is, why the fuck would anybody get rid of there last gen games and console and then bitch about not being able to play them. It's retarded.

Ideally people want to play all their content on less consoles. Nobody was upset when PS3 played all games from PS1 and PS2, it was a great feature.

Furthermore, X1 also adds features to 360 games taking pictures and recording. So playing these games on X1 is superior in various way.

yea 508m hours played by half of xbox one owners. Using VGC half of xbox one owners is 14.8m people so by dividing the numbers it comes out to around 34mins. Its higher than what the article sais(23mins)

So, when 14.8 million XBO owners played games for 34 minutes, they played 508 million hours? Ok...

In my world that doesn't make any sense.

Again, the average user isnt using it much, that I agree. While millions take advantage of it more.

Its like attach rates. The avereage is usually like 8 games per owner. While a smaller chunk, millions, have many games.

Youre going on a tangent again. I already congratulated your common sense. You wanted credit and I gave it.

So your happy with rebuying all your own games and Remasters? Okay. PC have been doing BC for years. I spent $2000 my on gaming rig and i still love playing my old games on my shiny new hardware. Its a thing called value. The X1 is 2 consoles in one. Thats what BC does. It offers the customers more value. Its not meant to sell more X1s. Its a good deed for those who already own one.

I can't keep up with new game releases. Only when a great remaster like Windwaker HD comes out I'll revisit a dusty old game. It's different on PC. When I was still gaming on PC, sure I checked out how a bunch of games looked on a shiny new gpu all maxed out. Apart from Half-Life 2 and fsx I didn't replay any of them though.

BC is a nice to have yet I'm happy to buy the Wipeout Omega collection with improved visuals and performance plus access to the 2048 tracks. Even with all that I don't expect to spend too much time on it until a VR mode comes out. Soo much to play, even gaming 2-3 hours a night, no time for old games.

Thats fair enough. We all use our systems differently. However my point still stands that i love using my new hardware to play older games. I also dont like to generalize and say PC is different because its not. I was playing my old games on max settings last year, and i play them this year on max settings on new hardware. The performance of the games hasnt changed. I just love playing all my games regardless of the generation.

I also love buying remaster packs. If its a collection of old games that have been remastered than im all in. Homeworld remastered is the perfect remaster of a game. The game was more than 10 years old and heavily outdated, and it includes both 1 and 2 remastered games plus the original versions and the visusls have had a decent upgrade all round. Where as this generation without BC we get remasters like God of War 3 with barely any improvements  aside from a resolution jump and sold as a brand new game. That im no fan of especially when PC games get free patches that include higher resolution options.
