Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Why Did Microsoft Not Include Asian, Straight, While, Male Gamers on their YouTube videos at GDC?

They made a video for the LGBTQ community but no for the straights . https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xkHSNictbRA

A video for the Latinos and Blacks but not for the Asian or White community. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mJxAPliK_-c https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MCS2Z78ApC8&t=2s

And a video for Women but not for Men. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R-0dw7YE2aI

They did make one for gamers in general https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cb3JKOyXtTc . But why do Latinos, Blacks, and Women get their own dedicated video but why dont't Asians, Heterosexuals, Caucasians, and Males get their own videos?

About the Asians, maybe they work too hard giving everyone else a bad name. Just saying.

Women, blacks, latinos, and the LGBT are their audience. That's why Sony is sponsoring Gay pride in London, that's also part of their core audience.

Heterosexuals, asians, and men play Nintendo.

Do you really think white or straight people need any special attention? As to Asians, I imagine it's because they're probably a much, much smaller group in the US than some other groups they've made videos for.

Does it matter? There was someone of African descent in the opening sequences of the LGBTQI video.
There were caucasions and men in multiples of those videos.

No need to get offended because you weren't explicitely represented.
Instead... Go petition Microsoft like all these minorities do, put in the hard work like all these minorities do and go change something.

I'm not ashamed to admit I am one of the many dislikes on each of those videos. Politcal correctness drives me crazy. There is literally no good reason to single out groups of gamers by race/gender/sexual orientation like this, while ignoring others.

You're acting like a snowflake.

Yes it does matter. Why make videos for different groups of people and exclude othe groups. Microsoft should be ashamed at themselves and take down these videos or they should makes ones for Asians, Heterosexuals, Caucasians, and Males.

Don't know, ask maybe as example woman who are still treated like they don't belong to gaming when they play a round of CoD with their headset why a company tells them that they are also part of it.

I think you are just being politically correct because your own demographic is possibly not represented?

But I will tell you why those groups got represented and others didn't. They petitioned Microsoft for it, they worked for it, they did the hard yards, if you wan't Asians and White men to be included, then start doing the hard work for next year.

OP is one of those people who hates that Alamo Drafthouse was doing women only showings for Wonder Woman.

As a straight white male I can say they didn't make a video for straight white men because we don't need one. We aren't targeted for hate or oppressed like the other groups are.
