Right on que but Sony just proved my point. Many stores in Japan weren't even selling the device.

I'm not very good at Japanese, but when I use google translate, those aren't sold by Amazon, but by third party sellers, and they are used units...

Well yeah that is what I meant if you want to find one you can even find on Amazon.

That's not that great. SEGA 32X & SEGA CD part 2 is all it's turned out to be.

PS VR has already outsold the 32X in a matter of months.  And its halfway to outselling the Sega CD. And it's still $399, which is twice the price as the system you use it on. I'd say its done pretty well, all things considered. If Sony can get this thing down to $299 this year, sales should pick up quite a bit.

Either way, in the end, the sales of the VR should easily eclipse those two devices combined.

So, I guess using that logic, the Switch has met demand, too? I mean I can easily find it on Amazon whenever I want to.

More gamers out there now and more gullible. It's still a 32X/SCD situation with it mainly being a novelty and little else. The games rely mostly in a single play style or type of game. Outside a few gems a lot of it look the same and more showing off the tech than anything else. Both need their own power supply and look like a mess hooked up to the main console. They look like they are leaching off of the main system.

If they stop releasing games, it will be quite a shame, cause it is amazing hardware, Resident Evil 7 was like the mos immersive experience I had in gaming and Batman VR and Rush of Blood where really good.
Give it a fighting chance Sony, even Sega 32X had around 20 games or so, retail stuff.
Give us at least 3 more big games and it will go down in history as a milestone in gaming, the first real functional home console VR device.

Most of the games for VR on PSN right now are super lazy dumb stuff.

My grammar errors are justified by the fact that I am a brazilian living in Brazil. I am also very stupid.

Disappointing sales, I don't think VR is going to be a major player until next generation.

~~~~ Mario Kart 8 drove far past my expectations! Never again will I doubt the wheels of a Monster Franchise! :0 ~~~~
The VR sets need to be way below $200 to really take off. By that time people will loose interest. Just look what happened to the Kinect. It sold 8 million units in 60 days! Three years later no one gave a dime. Sorry to burst your bubble but it's very likely that the same will happen to VR, only with much bigger financial catastrophe.
Here in the Netherlands I've already seen several discounts and also big bundles and even discounts with bundled stuff like games and camera and stuff and those bundles are not selling out even if the sale lasts for a week.
It really seemed to be in high demand when it launched but right now you can get it anywhere and really I havn't seen any hype around it anymore since resident evil 7 when people where talking about it a bit.
I guess sony can push it by a good VR showing at E3 but something does need to change else these sales numbers are only going to get worse month over month, I guess that goes for every console and stuff look at the xbox when it didn't have a lot of games this year so far sales have also slowed down.
Well we will know what the state of vr is in a week time I guess!
