I'm definitely not getting my hopes up...
At worst it will be Pokémon Go announcement...
At best a Pokken port, but even that is probably super optimistic...

Pokemon direct for Sun and Moon was 6 minutes, and X and Y's was 11 minutes long, so not really.

While I am personally hoping for mainline Pokémon game for the Switch, I am going to do what I always do and keep my expectations low. So at this point I am expecting a new mainline Pokémon game for 3DS (probably third version of Sun and Moon) and Pokken port for Switch .

The first Pokemon Direct (announced X/Y) was around 10 minutes. Perhaps they'll just have less filler this time... lol nah, they'll waste 7 minutes talking about how mainline Pokemon has never been on a TV. :L

I remember them talking VC R/B/Y and showing the S/M logo in like 5 minutes so no, not at all...

Yeah but when I talked about 8th gen, I wasn't referring to the tomorrow direct but in a future one!

Appropos, a remake should sell above 10m no matter HD or not... Every pokemon remake has sold more than 10m! Perhaps, the games of 4th gen in overly superior graphics could sell like a main game, plus that these games are for many people ( including me, I love Platinum )  the best Pokemon games ever.

 

Third versions sells between 6.5m-8m...So you could be right, that HD version could heple a third version to sel 10m+ for the first time.

( Pokemon yellow doesn't count, it was in the era of Pokemon franchise debut )

Sorry, I misunderstood your post.

And indeed, we can't be sure if the direct id for Switch, but I think it's quite likely. The official Pokémon website talks about 'big news', so I don't think it's just a Pokémon GO update.

I was trying to find it to see exactly how long it was, but then remembered they took the video down. Gee I wonder why that could be!
