Global warming is a left wing conspiracy invented by Al Gore and the Big Banks have cashed in off of brainwashing people. The whole climate change global warming is based on lies. The scientific proof has been manufactured to present the idea that the world has been warming over the last 100 years and in actual fact it has been cooling. Climate change science is a myth, it is absolute nonsense.
Methane is actually MUCH worse than this. CO2 is but plant food, burning petrol actually makes vegetables and aquatic autotrophes grow faster and healthier all around the world, which by itself decreases the CO2 and counterbalances any effect after some time. And yes, global warming is mostly a myth the way it is usually presented.

I wouldn't be so quick to judge the Big Banks, afterall they're one of the biggest financial contributors to your climate denial.
I almost never eat at fast food restaurants mainly offering hamburgers, even when I do I almost always buy fried chicken, but if I have to eat fast I prefer chinese or kebab, so mainly pork or chicken (as true lamb kebab isn't very widespread in my town, my average fellow citizen hates strong tastes).
Even at home we don't eat beef very often, and we buy it almost only for gourmet recipes requiring it, we buy frozen hamburgers as fast last minute food but a 800g box at a time less than once a month.

All the major environmentalist groups ignored/continue to ignore the impact of eating meat on the climate. It doesn't matter if you save on water showering etc, because the water consumed by and for cattle to become food is significantly higher than humans combined could make up for it.
The methan-emissions of cows are well known as a problem and make it to the reports of the IPCC. Methane is recalculated into CO2-equivalents (so that the problem can be expressed in one number), but as methane has more effect, 1 ton of methane is calculated into multiple tons of CO2-equivalents.
Also, even if the world would cut out meat-eating, the problem would surely be reduced, but it wouldn't go away. We can destroy our environments in many ways, excessive agriculture is onl yone of them.

I don't know what "major" environmental groups has he been following. However, livestock impact on the environment is something talked about on most topics regarding climate change.

Yeah, that title is pretty silly. The article says that "18% of the total release of greenhouse gases world-wide" come from livestock. 18% is certainly a contributing factor but it isn't "the true cause". That implies that all we have to do is kill all the cows and then we can pollute elsewhere all we want. I really wish people wouldn't over-use hyperbole.
Some more on this matter.
A visit to the EPA website yielded the following graph:
As well as the following with regards to methane:
"Methane is emitted during the production and transport of coal, natural gas, and oil. Methane emissions also result from livestock and other agricultural practices and by the decay of organic waste in municipal solid waste landfills."
So if the EPA is anything to go by, it would be mistaken to believe that livestock is the ONLY source of methane in the atmosphere.
I'm going to guess that life and organic matter has been emitting methane since their inception but in this industrialized world of ours, additional sources of greenhouse gases have been contributing to the current levels of greenhouse gases we see today in our atmosphere.
I think human activity helps to throw things as they were on Earth out of balance much like what happens with CO2:

The problem with this is environments that sequester a lot of carbon from the air such as sub-Arctic/Arctic (up to 50% of the Earth's carbon is here), and rainforest are being destoryed. When these environments are destoryed, they release the sequestered carbon into the atmosphere and the new environment (such as agricultural land) isn't as good as storing carbon. The effect cannot be counterbalanced if you remove the factors that create the counterbalance and/or overwhelm the counterbalance.
Anyways, since OP mentions agriculture and livestock. On top of methane you also have N2O which about a third comes only from agriculture and is far more potent than CO2 and methane. There's a variety of sources that contribute to overall warming so it's important to focus on the big picture as a whole.
