Forums - Nintendo - Will Switch cards come in sizes larger than 32 GB?

I'm just wondering given how third parties have forgotten how to compress data. I mean yikes......47 gigabytes for sports game? Freaking The Order 1886 is over 32 megabytes.

The Democratic Nintendo fan....is that a paradox? I'm fond of one of the more conservative companies in the industry, but I vote Liberally and view myself that way 90% of the time?

Sure, they will eventually come. The moment a somewhat bigger game releases on the Switch, they'll need more than 32gb. If the rumours of the next CoD coming to the system are true, then we'll see it use a 64gb or bigger card.

You know it deserves the GOTY.

32 MB are okay for that game, I expected more.

I think Black Ops 3 with all the DLC is like +100GB if that helps :P

There are actually several games that with DLCcan get in the 80-100 region, so we are most deffinatly there

OP: I dont think that the Switch will need it. On cartridges it is far easier to compress data. 32 for the current gen Switch IMO is enough

Vote the Mayor for Mayor!

Most AAA games are over 32gb on PS4, PC and Xbox but those games would be way different if ported to the switch anyway since the switch has less memory so smaller textures etcetc

very hard to compare a current gen home console game with a handheld hybrid

Yes eventually. Nintendo carts have always increased in capacity to meet 3rd party demands.
