Haha, I didn't catch that. I use Opencritic these days. I just put metacritic in my threads, because that's what everybody knows these days.

Over 80 Meta?

Including Indie games, Switch already has over 10 so maybe around 30-40?

Yeah, sounds about right. However, I'd say that doing 80+ is a bit too broad, and that the cut-off number should be higher.

Yep, probably. I think all (or almost) Nintendo games will reach 80+ this year. After that, we already have lots of great indies released and another bunch coming. Not to mention E3 surprises.

Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won

Not sure if this thread has been done before or not, but here goes.

How many games with a metascore of 80 or higher do you think Switch will have by March 3rd 2018?

I'm guessing we will have 10 with Rayman Legends, Rime, BotW, Disgaea 5, Puyo Puyo, MK8D, Arms, Splatoon 2, Odyssey, and Xenoblade 2. I don't see Monster Hunter XX coming to the west in that time. If the Mario X Rabbids crossover does well I'll be surprised. IMO it'll be shovelware like Federation Force, and Amiibo Festival.

The poll options and this OPs prediction are hilarious, seeing as already 15 games are 80 or above on Meta. Sure, one or two may drop below that mark with more reviews, but in the more than three quarters still ahead, there will come more.

Rip indie devs?

Of the 80+ Metas for Switch are some Indies already: Shovel Knight, Thumper, Binding of Isaac, World of Goo, VOEZ, Fast RMX.

Good is so relative.
Must haves, also relative.
System sellers... Also very personal.
So, the answer to your question is... Yes!

Hmmm, I'd wager around 20 great/significant ones or so.

It already has a handful, going off personal experience for most -

Zelda BoW
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
Has Been Heroes (Well I really enjoy it anyway)
Puyo Puyo Tetris
Minecraft
Binding of Issac (so far the praise has been greater than my enjoyment of it, but many seem to love it anyway)

Pretty safe bets for the future -

Mario Odyssey
Xenoblade 2
Splatoon 2
Arms
Skyrim
Stardew Valley
Steamworld Dig 2
Wargroove
Payday 2
Rayman Legends Definitive
Redout
Nine Parchments
Owl Boy

And this is disregarding some "borderline" games or less significant ones (NBA Playgrounds, World of Goo, Monopoly)
