Pretty interesting battle this. Ps4 winning in America so far this year. WW it will probably win the year.

Japan-NSW

PAL-PS4

NA-intense battle

Global-PS4, PAL regions will overcome Japan and potential slight lead in NA.

This will really be a PS4 VS Switch generation. If this keeps up, Switch could possibly sell more than half of the X1's total by next summer. Maybe more. Very interesting battle ahead.

Gonna say Switch does because I see the demand for it being massive this holiday if its done so well in the q2 frame. Can see it being THE hot ticket item of the holiday. And if Pokemon Stars for the Switch actually happens for Q4 then it's got it in the bag.

Everything is pointing towards it there are already bundles with 2 controllers and a new game for 299. Which bring the price of the actual PS4 down to 200. These are store offerings but by the holiday Sony will hit that $200 price point.

So in other words, it's conjecture.

The same conjecture as saying Nintendo can produce and ship more than 10 million units in 2017.

Please excuse my (probally) poor grammar

PS4... easily... I'm amazed at how many are saying Switch.

Nintendo are only forecasting 13m total shipped by March 2018. They'd need to increase there forecasts for this fiscal year by around 50% to give Switch a chance to sell 16m+ by end of 2017.

I predict Oddysey will be delayed to 2018, to finetune the game even more.
So PS4 will win big. Also because PS4 seems to have 95% of all third party marketing deals. Thats a huge benefit for sales. Switch does not bare the same degree of marketing power.
But what first party AAA exclusives does PS4 have for this holiday season?

Wrong. Super Mario 64 was delayed twice and the console it was on with it.

But in the case of Odyssey, there were rumors floating around before the launch of Switch that the game is essentially done and already in the finetuning phase. I don't think there is a reason to worry about a delay.

ok so 3D hasnt been delayed in over 20 years

Uncharted TLL - August

Yakuza 1 Remake - August

GT Sports - Holiday

Knack 2 - Holiday

Crash and Wipeout are June.

Keep in mind that Playstation has Call of Duty marketing, Star Wars with the movie coming, Destiny 2 for huge September sales, rumored Fifa and that will be huge on EU etc.
