Forums - Nintendo - RUMOR: Mario + Rabbids RPG will be coming to Switch in August or September

Do really think by me saying everyone liked HW that I was some how implying that every single person who turned it on loved it. It simply means it was recieved very well.

But my biggest point is that a Dynasty Warrior x zelda had no interest before Nintendo tried it. Of course this will have limited interest until people try it. but to say no one asked for this is just childish and trying to stop Nintendo from doing new and different things.

I'll just ask you this, considering I already addressed your major point in my post prior, do you like the Rabbids?

I don't really know what ubi is doing with the Switch but now I can see this being true

No one asked Nintendo to do a collab with what equates to the Minions of the video game world.

No one asked for Hyrule Warriors but everyone ended up liking that, just because fans have a narrow mind doesn't mean Nintendo shouldn't try something new.

The difference was Hyrule Warriors is a good idea. Zelda characters beat up waves of enemies. Fun. A turn based RPG (that was co-op for some reason) with Mario characters fighting Rabbids, characters no one likes anymore. Doesn't sound fun. A big reason I didn't believe this (and still don't until someone can produce more than "my Uncle Works for Ubisoft") is that no one likes this idea. I figure some executive would have figured this out before greenlighting the game.

On paper this game doesn't sound half bad to me. So I remain optomistic until we see the product. But there is nothing more annoying than for someone to say  'no one asked for this'.

I'm glad you find it interesting. Nevertheless, the complaints aren't "No one asked for this," they are "This doesn't sound fun" and that is the problem.

Nah, the only bad idea there is the Rabbids part, since its a very random carachter that has nothing to do with Mario(not to mention that is not iconic). Its a great idea to have a turn based battle.I mean, just look at Super Mario RPG!Better yet, it baffles me even more as to why Nintendo didnt go to Square to make this RPG and make a different collaboration with Ubisoft in something they are more confortable with.

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

If you're going to take "no one" as literally as you insist on doing, then I'd say it's perfectly fine for me to take "everyone" liking Hyrule Warriors as literally as you assumed I did.

We are almost on the same page, in the end. I do not think Nintendo shouldn't try new things, in fact I think it's wonderful. However, where we differ is even though I encourage new things, I discourage stupid ideas from the beginning. You just seem to be nicer and more tentative to these stupid ideas. But that's fine.

A part of me REALLY wants to see this

Here a little quote I want for those to keep memorize in your head for this coming next gen.

Let's not forget that a game can be made a lot more enticing after a later look. I mean Nintendo is surprisingly good at the second impression.

Mario Maker, 3D World, Sun and Moon (Response to it was a tad lax at first truth be told for a number of people), ARMS, Splatoon....wasn't it a thing that Nintendo launches bad first trailers and a lot better second trailers?

The Democratic Nintendo fan....is that a paradox? I'm fond of one of the more conservative companies in the industry, but I vote Liberally and view myself that way 90% of the time?

I really honestly don't think this helps Nintendo much. Seems like a favor to Ubi Soft, but Ubi Soft isn't exactly giving the Switch great support, their president basically said Switch is just for mini-game/family titles, meanwhile Just Dance is selling like crap on Switch. Why not give Square-Enix or someone a shot at a Mario RPG instead?

Who's to say they would want to take on that developmemt responsibility? Ignore the rabbids and Ubisoft is essentially developing a game Nintendo can't be bothered to make/pay for themselves. SE already has their hands full and is making their own RPG for the Swicth.

One of this fall’s big Nintendo Switch games will be Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle, a game that has been rumored for quite some time and does indeed exist, as confirmed by art assets provided to Kotaku. The game will mix Nintendo’s iconic plumber (and friends) with characters from Ubisoft’s popular Rabbids series.

What's wrong with their design? Why they are so ugly?
