Hypothetically assuming this is coming (multiple reliable sources have said it is), what would you like to see in it, assuming it's kinda like Mario Kart 8 DX, so some new content, but not an entirely new game. 

- All DLC from Smash Wii U/3DS. 

- New characters: Ink Boy/Girl with new Splatoon stage. 

- Ken from Street Fighter 2 (rival to Ryu). Would be pretty easy since most of his moves are basically the same as Ryu. 

- Sephiroth from Final Fantasy VII (rival to Cloud). 

- Solid Snake and Ice Climbers return. 

- Classic Sonic (palette swap with regular Sonic basically), new Sonic game on Switch has both regular and classic Sonic. 

- Spring Man from ARMS

With ARMS stage.

If they REALLY want to do this (I really just want them to move on to Smash 5), then just bring it over with all DLC and maybe Ice Climbers and graphical enhancements, launch it at $50

Focus on Smash 5 for most of your efforts and yes, they NEED a Smash 5. Just like they NEED a Mario Kart 9. Save the new characters for that. Nintendo is in no position to put one of its most hyped franchises on ice for a whole gen.

We need more single player modes. I would like Break the Targets, specifically each character with their unique variant. Story mode would be good too, even something like Adventure mode on melee would suffice.
