Honestly, I don't want them to bother making a Smash 4 Deluxe, I'm willing to wait 3-4 years if it means we get a brand new Smash that is even more ambitious than Smash 4.

Of course the main reason that I doubt this will happen is due to Sakurai's arm condition, and that Smash probably exhausted him to near death, and has only recovered recently.

I don't want smash 5 because I'm afraid they would get rid of Lucina.

In all seriousness I woud love a story mode for smash 5 like brawl's, 4's singleplayer content was not very fun.

They can combine the 3ds and Wii U version , revamp the graphs, add (a lot of) new characters, stages, a story mode, a new game mode and you got your Super Smash Bros for Switch.

There is no need to start from the zero. It would take a lot more time and the final result would be almost the same.

No. I'd rather the Switch have all the content from 3DS and Wii U. Add in a few new characters and stages and just expand on what they have.

I think it'd be a waste of resources to make a new Smash, especially with how awesome and expansive the last one was.

I think people underestimate the insane amount of work that goes into installments in this franchise; it's legitimately killing Sakurai. I'd prefer they take a gen off and apply their manpower and resources elsewhere.

I'd like them to make Smash 5 for Switch, actually having a REAL name again, (IE not just "Smash Bros. for Switch", generic crap), to in large part make up for how BLAH Smash 4 was. Smash 4 SHOULD have been better than Brawl, just as Brawl was better than Melee (mostly). Instead, it almost utterly lacked any quality single player content, with them shoehorning some crappy Mario Party type mode in, instead of having even a barebones, shitty Adv. Mode of any sort. I was very disappointed in Smash 4, honestly.

So it would be nice for them to make for that, and make a Smash 5 that is as good as Smash 4 should have been.

But on the other hand, I also feel bad for Sakurai. He tried to get away, tried to branch off and do projects he's actually interested in. Instead, he seems chained to Smash Bros., even to the detriment of his own personal health. I'm grateful/thankful he came back at Iwata's request and did Brawl, because that game was amazing. But I feel bad for the guy. He clearly wanted to move on with his career, doing other things besides Kirby and Smash Bros., and he did get that chance with Meteos and later Kid Icarus. But he seems to feel obligated to do Smash somehow. He has even stated that he does Smash for the fans, basically instead of doing games that would interest him.

I would love to see more new ideas out of Sakurai, see what he could do with more new IPs. I'd hate to see him chained to Smash forever, even if he IS the father of the series.

Melee and Brawl had plenty of things do to in single player. Smash 4 didn't. Which is why it's easily the weakest SSB

It did have the best stages, best characters and best multiplayer. Which is why Smash 4 is the strongest SSB.
