Bumping for the lols. We need a comp of the bad predictions already lol. Retail 2.45mil with holidays itll be minimum 3mil so far! Digital is over 300k so close to 2.8mil already

Tbh at this point it will hit 5m or close to it because when you consider NS' possible LT sales and Splatoon being the go to game for it I can see 4-5m being hit, it's pretty much going to hit 3m in the coming months.

My bet with The_Liquid_Laser: I think the Switch won't surpass the PS2 as the best selling system of all time. If it does, I'll play a game of a list that The_Liquid_Laser will provide, I will have to play it for 50 hours or complete it, whatever comes first.

Considering we just had our last Splatfest, I would not be suprised if Splatoon 3 gets announced next year TBH. That could cut the legs off of Splatoon 2, and considering how 2 was released at the start of this gen, it would not be far fetched to think a 3rd game could land on the same hardware.

That is the only scenario where I see this prediction not being at least close to being true.
