Shovel Knight. No question about it.

It's one of the best platformers of ALL time. Original buyers even got two complete games for free. All three of the games are only $25, with the devs even telling people to buy the game before the price increases from 15 to 25.

I really respect Shovel Knight and the devs. They're a near perfect example of what a company should be. No political controversy, no false advertising, great customer service, and memorable games

For all Yooka-Laylee's flaws it was by no where near a Mighty No. 9 situation, and I think it just ended up being a 'be careful what you wish for, cause you just might get it' situation, where it ended up being too similar to Banjo-Kazooie for it's own good, as well as having too much hype around it to live up to expectations. But Yooka-Laylee was by no means a bad game in my opinion, it felt like a decent 7 in my opinion.

Other than that, Shovel Knight and Shantae definitely.

Undertale

Divinity Original Sin was cool, Broken Age was also nice.

What 2 free games?

Shovel Knight was alright I guess, didnt like it that much. Maybe I played it at a wrong time cuz I bought it for $10 and was clearing my backlog. Dunno, I did like 2d platformers like Rayman Legends instantly tho.

Shantae games are great

Goes to Shovel Knight without a doubt. You might not have liked the game, but the fact it's still getting supported to this day with no extra kickstarters/crowdfunding is very respectable.

Bet with bluedawgs: I say Switch will outsell PS4 in 2018, he says PS4 will outsell Switch. He's now permabanned, but the bet will remain in my sig.

Pillars of Eternity is a great game (and one I still haven't had the time to finish...), and next year it's getting a sequel I'm personally expecting to probably be even better.
