Starcraft is doing console exclusive games that means that games that appeared on PC are counted, and ports from last-gen consoles count too.

Wii has two titles over 90 that are ports from the sixth-gen. Resident Evil 4 and Zelda:TP

And XBOX 360 has five titles also on PC, Gears, Bioshock, Mass Effect, and two more I forgot about.

Mass Effect is NOT on the PC yet. I have already told DMeisterJ this but he refuses to change his signature.

And Dallinor, stop frowning, my signature is for those that are exclusively console gamers, or cannot afford a gaming PC (I fit the first category, I just can't find the gaming time to justify a gaming PC's expense, especially as it isn't a platform for most of the RPG's I like).

Mass Effect will be on PC in a month or so, right?

IS it on there now?

Do you really want me to change it to two, so that in a month I can change it back to one?

Does it matter that an Xbox 360 exclusive game goes to PC? I suspect it doesn't really matter. I'm curious how many die-hard PS3 and/or Wii owners actually bought Gears on the PC. As Adam would say, "I reject your reality and substitute my own". The migration of 360 titles to the PC doesn't change the "exclusivity" argument.

I hate trolls.

Systems I currently own:  360, PS3, Wii, DS Lite (2)
Systems I've owned: PS2, PS1, Dreamcast, Saturn, 3DO, Genesis, Gamecube, N64, SNES, NES, GBA, GB, C64, Amiga, Atari 2600 and 5200, Sega Game Gear, Vectrex, Intellivision, Pong.  Yes, Pong.

If we're arguing about what "great" games there are on the PS3, and thats why there's no reason to buy a X360......Yet they are mostly multi-platform...Why is there argument?

Why not just ask the question of "what system has the most, highest rated games of the 3?"

Xbox 360 (Top 50):
90%+ Games: 11
Game #50: Settlers of Catan (82.8%)

Wii (Top 50):
90%+ Games: 4
Game #50: Big Brain Academy: Wii Degree (69.1%)

Playstation 3:
90%+ Games: 3
Game #50: All Pro Football 2k8 (74.3%)

Maybe it's just me, but if I bought a system, shouldn't I buy it because it has the best library of good games? I mean, the X360 has more 90%+ games than the PS3 and Wii have, combined and 50% added...And the 50th best game on the X360 is very, very highly rated vs. the Playstation 3 and Wii's 50th best game. Is part or most of this because the X360 is older? Yes. Is it because it has games available on PC? Yes. But as a Console owner, I demand the best-quality games for my system. And the fact is, speaking from strictly a quality standpoint, the X360 is virtually unmatched, and will continue to be unmatched, this generation.

So what would you prefer: A Wii or PS3, where you get VERY FEW ultra-quality games, but are usually exclusive, or a system that has MANY ultra-quality games, but could be purchased if you had an expensive PC, or both of the other systems? Personally, I'd rather go with the biggest, best and cheapest, rather than buy a PC, a PS3, and a Wii and get roughly the same number of quality titles.

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

@ Rol

Okay, I changed it to two.

The only thing that would make me buy my own 360 is if Star Ocean 4 was 360 exclusive. And maybe another FF7 spinoff.
Your serious?

Here is a post from Dodoce explaining why there is a reasonable chance Star Ocean could come to the 360.

Dodoce:

Thelack of confirmation actually bodes ill for this being an exclusive PS3 title. Sony has been trading on potential for so long that it would be contrary to their interest to have a title undisclosed. They need big confirmations now and more of them to avoid the PS3 enjoying the same horrific sales it saw last summer. Were this title PS3 exclusive we would know now, and Sony would be advertising the hell out of it.

The contrary view for 360 exclusivity is that Microsoft would actually not want the titles platform disclosed and neither would the developer. Microsoft doesn't need JRPG confirmations they will have ten before the year is out. However if they get consumers excited and then drop the bomb that makes it harder for consumers in Japan to dismiss the title. Better to get consumers in the frame of mind that they really want the title before telling them they have to make a deal with the devil.

What is most interesting to me is how Microsoft has played this generation in Japan they haven't just gotten developers on their side for one title it is two or three. Which to me says that Microsoft probably bought game packages in bulk before this generation even began.

Mistwalker is obvious, but then look at Bandai Namco, and now here we have Tri-Ace Square. That would most definitely fit the existing pattern. Just a thought but if Microsoft did purchase package exclusivities before this generation then Star Ocean would most definitely fit that mold.

Like i said if it is 360 exclusive i would most likely buy my own 360 but the chances are slim to none.  I see what you are saying buti just don't see it being 360 exclusive.

Well i'm selling my xbox360 for the wii, but i'm going to buy it back from a friend for 100 dollars, so i'll have all the systems.

I agree that Crackdown is awesome, but I've never played Saint's Row. Is Saint's Row worth it if I've cancelled my XBL Gold account?

Nice read. I've got to admit that is an excellent analysis of the reasons to buy an Xbox 360. Although I don't agree 100% with some of the things you said, its def a good read. While I think the situation will be more even by the end of this year, I do have to agree that the 360 has much better games at this point in time. *Waits for In-game XMB* :P

Not trying to be a fanboy. Of course, it's hard when you own the best console eve... dang it
