haha ok... 18.7 million have chosen xbox 360 in what 2 year? how many years ps3 to get to 12.4 million? a year? there was just a thread on this saying that the ps3 has sold faster than the 360! now look at the sales, the ps3 has been CONSISTANTLY outselling th 360 since october of 2007! and about the ps2 being shit hardware. am i uniformed here because iv had one ps2 for years and just got another 2 years ago and never even once had a hitch. the reason people choose the 360 is because its advertised more. if people really knew the figures on failure rate, who the hell would buy them?! would you buy a car if there was a 50% chance the transmission would blow out in less than a year?! just face it, ps3 is doing good now and its only getting better.

ok... sorry for setting the facts straight. why does everyone get so cranky when you bring up RROD's? i think its a huge part of this generation and shouldnt be forgotten. everyone says it comes down to the games, not for me. after buying a ford and having the transmission break down on me twice, i learned to research stuff on the internet before i buy it. btw, what in there deserves a ban?!

Racers: Why don't you mention such great games like PGR3, 4, Burnout Revenge and even Test Drive Unlimited has good scores on metacritic. GT5 Prologue and Motorstorm 2 is better than Forza 2 ??? Are you kidding me ? I accept GT5P is a great racer, but it's "just" an extended Demo and you can't compare it with a FULL game. Motorstorm 2... Wow. I could say Forza 3 and PGR 5 but they aren't in stores, so this is just a bad argument.

Wow! Orange Box = Steam. Not everybody likes that and both Bioshock and Mass Effect have one of the worst copy-protections ever made in gaming history.

 

i dont get why people neglect killzone 2 for the ps3. of course there is alot of hype but seriously just go to... http://www.gamersyde.com/news_6441_en.html .. and tell me that killzone 2 does not look good! considering games usually improve a ton in just the last month or two of developement because of final tweaks with color and such, this game still has a bit less than a year. also this is a video of a tv not even the real feed of the game. i dont think gears 2 stands a chance against this game in graphics, game length, or online. sony is putting everything they have into this game and i bet it will be something special. and btw, if you say forza 2 is better than GT5P physics and graphicaly, you must not have played the games! of course it is still a prologue version but when the final comes out, again, another year of developement, another couple hundred cars added. should be a great game. we havent seen anything from motorstorm 2 so i wont say anything about that but im feelin like itll be a good game too. last game was way fun, looked good, but there was not structure to the well if you want to call it the story mode campaign deal. i hope we can see a preview of it sometime.

I didn't say that Forza 2 has better graphics and physics. Now if a developer would make a racing game with one track and one car and the graphics, sounds, physics and gameplay would be better than in GT5 Prologue. Is there any chance, that you say that this "game" is better than GT5P ??? And that is exactly why this game has 80% on metacritic and Forza 2 90%

In short, here's how it really is:

If you are a PC gamer, then 360 is SHIT AND USELESS!

PC is easily superior to 360 in everything but racing and platform games.



If you don't want to play on PC, then 360 is the CONSOLE OF CHOICE!

Xbox 360 has easily the best lineup out of the consoles, taking a big advantage of the 360/PC combo games.

I think it's fair to say that as long as the install base is large enough to produce profit for developers who choose to build for it, that the 360 has a bright future. What's the worst that could happen anyway?  It becomes a multiplatform target for PC/PS3 games.  Oh wait, it already is although it seems to currently be the main platform on most of them.
