Ouch, maybe some post BotW effect in the low scores?
Probably not the game I'm looking for, doesn't sound all that fun to play.

I don't think it's fair that game reviews should be split up into multiple scores if they're multiplatform unless there's some major discrepancies between the two... what is the major difference between the PS4 and XBO versions to warrant a 12 point difference between them? o.O

There isn't a difference, it's just that the people who have hated it have been playing on PS4 so that is the list it has been added too

Plus, two Xbox sites gave it really high scores

In before the Crash Trilogy remake also blows. N64 era platformers just haven't aged that well. In fact that entire era is riddled with games that have aged badly. I can't name a single non-RPG on the PS1 that hasn't aged badly. As far as the N64 goes, the only things that really hold up well anymore are Conker (for the humor), Starfox, Paper Mario, and Zelda. Ok, maybe RE2 holds up well still. What else though?

I'm still hanging to play this on the Switch.

At the very least it'll have a great-looking Amiibo.

I wonder if the harsher reviews looked at Ratchet and Clank and Tearaway as a comparison when reviewing this game.

Some 2D games like Castlevania and Mega Man.

Then we should point out what exactly are the elements that could justify or not a division. Should we differenciate the versions for a couple fps of difference between versions, or a full Batman Arkham Knight Console/PC performance?

You know it deserves the GOTY.

Yeah, basically anything 2D holds up well. I think this was Sega's whole plan behind the Saturn. They knew 3D games would suck, so they made their machine into a 2D powerhouse.

Kirby? The 64 game was really good, even if it was more or less just a 2D Kirby with a lot of 3D things. Plus combining power-ups was never so fun.
