How many consoles do gamers buy in a generation. Im sure many in here end up buying 2 to 3 PS3s and 360s etc. If your going out to buy another one than it might aswell be upgraded for better performance
Because as it turns out a lot of people got plenty of time in their hands.

New 3DS was slight and frankly a wasted opportunity.
PS4 Pro is a decent upgrade given it improves all games now, it makes sense to buy that over a regular PS4.
Scorpio could be a very signficant upgrade, might be the most notable.

I kinda doubt they stick to that around 4-5 years from now. But OG X1 will have been long supported by then.

True, but the console industry is much higher stakes now.
Bear in mind we are in world where NIntendo has basically pulled out of console gaming and no longer pushes high end specs.

Well nobody is forcing them to do so, you don't miss new games for the system since the regular systems run the same games. Be it in a lower resolution only Nintendo makes hardware decisions with exclusive games like the N3DS and the DSI.

Well yes, the N3DS is worse than the PS4Pro and the Scorpio since it actually has games that only work for that. However I dont see why people cant complain about companies releasing an upgraded version of their system 2-3 years later. Sure they play the same games, but youre punishing the people who bought your console early. Personally I have no interest in the PS4Pro or the Scorpio, but with the PS5 and XB2, I might wait a couple of years to make sure I get the best bang for my buck. Will probably be difficult with the PS5, but I dont see the point of buying it early anymore.

I am sorry this just doesn't make any sense.....
Most people don't care to do research aboutr the console they are going to buy. They just buy the console that has the games they want to play. Thats specifically why i said the majority of people won't even know that th reason they are choosing on console over the other which to them is because of the games available is really in truth because of the lack of power that the nintendo cnsole has. Cuase thats the reason it didn't get the game to begin with.
A 'legitimate" complaint is something that actually holds water and that can affect the buying choice of a customer. Is the nintendo console getting ME:A, COD, RDR2, SW:BF? No? Ok I am not buying it. But we here on the forums know the reason its not getting those games is because it lacks the pwer to run them. This is very very very different from someone complaining about say a PS4 and a PS4pro because to most people, the only distinction is that one is in 4k and the other isn't.
