"Overall, Persona 5 is not only the best JRPG ever made but possibly one of the best video games of all time across all genres."

PS4 has Persona 5 with Metacritic of 94
Switch has Zelda Breath of the Wild with Metacritic of 97

Retrospectively, the original Nier was horribly underrated, while Bioshock: Infinite and especially Undertale have seem to have lost some of their initial luster. As far as being daring, I think P5 stands out in that department from what I've played. It's darker than I expected, precisely because it deals with some daring themes right off the bat, and things most games don't dare to bring up. And it doesn't take more than an hour before you've already been introduced to a few of them, even if some are only implied. So where things like Kanji in P4 felt like a smaller portion of the game, it's like theres a blanket of dark themes enveloping most of the game from the start.

Yeah, I've had an argument with another user a long time ago, because he was saying "P4 is darker than P5 will be". Nope, far from it. I played a little while on the Japanese version, and yes, you have some dark stuff happening really fast, it's psychologically harder than the P4 murders.

P4 Kanji spoilers: 

I sometimes seem to be the only one thinking that Kanji doesn't have a big issue in P4... I saw him recently being called a "LGBT character", but he's not even gay! He falls in love with a reverse trap, yes, but a woman nonetheless. He's troubled because he thinks that he's attracted by another dude, but once the real gender of Naoto known, the issues around Kanji almost disappear. He's a big thug looking guy who likes some girly stuff like knitting, that's not something dark or that serious... Am I missing something?

Now im sad i never played P3 FES and P4 Golden (despite owning both) but well i was busy with other games at the time, and now i dont know if i wanna play them before starting P5 simply because im sure i will get tired of the franchise by the time im done with P4 (regardless of how good they are), i get franchise fatigue really easily (i havent even played Dark Souls 3 because im still resting after Bloodborne).

We had an agreement of playing both together back in 2015, remember?
I started P3 and you didn't, I beat it, took one year to play P4, played and beat it, and now one year later P5 is coming and you still didn't start P3!

Thats because you were to busy playing Final Fantasy, i remember asking you more than once and you told me to wait and by the time you were finally ready i had already started Digimon Cyber Sleuth (and honestly i wasnt gonna stop half way through the game to start another one), so its all your fault! :P
