Pics are probably fake, but yeah, a WWII CoD would be the one that gets my interest again.

World War II setting would be amazing for the next Call of Duty, the series definitely needs a huge change!

Sledgehammer = no buy me. Their games are garbage.

Also that image is 100% photo shopped. The "W"s aren't even the same size and the "II" is the Black Ops 2 logo.

Dude they only made one game...

I'll only buy from Treyarch now

I don't think there's anything about modern or futuristic warfare per se that sets the stage for a poor game, but I will agree with Ludicrous that a WWII backdrop would remove a lot of the silly perks, killstreaks, power-ups, etc.

Honestly, I had a blast with single player in Infinite Warfare. Activision just needs to clean up the multiplayer. I'd love to see a simplification of the entire thing, with the removal entirely of microtransactions or anything that could be perceived as pay-to-win. A longer TTK would be most welcome, also. Above all else, Activision needs to follow the idea of guns that are different, but not better.

Well shit, first BattleField 1, then Resident Evil 7, now Call of Duty. Games are really pandering to the loud mouths on the internet haha.

Well, to be fair then you have to aknowledge both of those games critically and commercially were huge successes. So it's not like it's a bad thing.

I guess I'm one of the few people who doesn't believe the leak. For starters, straight up calling a game WWII is about as unoriginal as it's going to get. Also, the person behind this leak leaked some Infinite Warfare stuff (Royalty Program for people who've played and prestige in Ghosts, AW and BO3, said there would be something called Friday Night Fights said Quarry (MW2) and Fallen (MW3) would return and said Assault, Support and Specialist Streaks would return) which turned out to be false.

Also, a lot of people are saying this person also leaked the Infinite Warfare posters which turned out to be true, but this person has never provided proof he was also behind that. The real Infinite Warfare posters were leaked by Reddit user /u/infinitewarfareleaks, this leak comes from Reddit user /u/rTwGNaywaoaLh. /u/rTwGNaywaoaLh has never provided proof he's also behind /u/infinitewarfareleaks, just claimed it.

It's also quite early for this stuff to leak. CoD games usually aren't revealed until early May or late April at the earliest, and I doubt stuff like this is gonna leak a month in advance. I also doubt they're gonna push the reveal forward since Destiny 2 is being revealed really soon and Activision obviously doesn't wanna reveal 2 games of that size so close to each other.

And I'm also missing PlayStation-related branding on the poster, a release date and I'd expect trustworthy leakers such as Shinobi and Jason Schreier to jump on it by now.

You aren't the only skeptical person. There's always a chance it's fake. As for missing logos and partnership markers, it's supposedly concept art.

SHG makes a good campaign. So anyone who buys for SP should be in for a treat, anyway.

I seriously don't know how I would feel if it's true.

Same, I'd like to see a new game in the vein of Call of Duty 2, but I'm not sure if they can pull it off.

Still burned out on WW2 games from Gen 6-7, not hyped to play as the Merican superhero soldier that singlehandedly wins the war. It's never about the east front, Africa or Asian front. How about the fall of Berlin from the viewpoint of a German?

Just gimme current era or (late) cold war stuff.
