At first I was like,  oooooooh shit,  major generalisation there.  But then I see you backed it up with some evidence.

Can't be arsed reading all that but you've made me curious about him now too.

Anyway I'm going to London in the summer. Am I put off by this?  Absolutely not.

I went to the euros in France for 3 weeks and the terror attacks they had were much worse. I've more chances of being killed by a car riding my bike.

I seriously doubt the credibility of those sources, particularly the first one (which starts off with quotong religious texts).

From what I got, he was a lawyer involved in the case, "defending" a terrorist in that sense (as in, pushing for less prison time due to mental instability, etc...), which is very different from condoning the actions. It is an integral part of our justice system that each condemned has an attorney to present anything that could help their case, and it's quite ridiculous to accuse soneone for taking the role.

I win if Emmanuel Macron wins the french presidential election May 7th 2017.

Western society is at an all time low if people like this can become major in London. I like Aboutaleb the major of Rotterdam who is a Muslim (and an Islamophobe according to Erdogan). Defending 911 however is some sick mentality for a London major to have.

Saying that he defended 9-11 is VERY misleading. He was the attorney in charge of the case, a position which is essential in our justice system.

I'm looking at the news article and everything I see is pretty ridiculous to criticize the guy over.

1) He was the lawyer to one of the 9/11 terrorists.  (This is where the defending 9/11 came from)

2) He warned the mohammed cartoonists to stop and predicted it could turn violent if they continue.  (Probably the closest thing to offensive in the entire article.  I personally think he was just saying, "stop making the problem worse". But it's probably the only quote that can reasonably be interpretted against him.)

3) He once wrote a book where he explained how muslims can sue the police for racism.

4) He was present at a muslim speaking engagement 9 times where someone really offensive also gave a speech.  No word as to the content of those speeches or what those platforms were about.  Basically he was in the same room as someone from the nasty muslim side...

Really?  This is your evidence....  This is why conservatives are a joke...  If I looked into your life with a bloody microscope, I bet I'd find out a way to paint you as the inbred child of Hitler..

I'll take your word for it.  So he probably is a decent man

So basically he did his job as a lawyer and his sister had a relationship with a person with problematic ties and it's somehow Khan's fault? Am I reading this correctly?

Sadiq Khan's not an extremist but he's still a rat.

The first reads like an Breitbart-style website. The second is about his brother in law doing something bad. Being related to someone who does something bad does not make you guilty.

No they were British, that was the entire point of them.

They didn't want to be British .......... but they were (Stewart Lee joke).

Being technical - Ireland was never part of Britain, and NI still isn't. Its United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

They objected to being UK-ish.
