Not really. But the game is kinda boring, I gave up after a while.

Early on it might seem like an issue as you're facing mobs far superior to yourself, but by a few hours in I never had another shortage. I think the most directly comparable system is that of Dying Light, which I also liked. Reading Jim's review recently, I'm convinced he did not play it nearly as long as he claimed to or, otherwise, just went in with a negative disposition looking for things to dislike. |
Yea, once you get a little inot the game you are tossing away good weapons cause you keep finding better. I'd accept a inventory space complaint over a durability complaint
Nope, I had so many repair kits on me at all times so it never was an issue.
Nope, the weapon durability for weapons seemed fairly balanced and I always kept some repair kits handy. Inventory management in Fallout 4 was also fine
In Zelda, I don't find weapon durability a weakness, but rather a part of the tactics you need to use. And since you get access to two or three weapons in each fight, you don't really end up without a weapon.
I played 10 hours of it, and i didn't even know it exists.

But it wasn't the only thing he disliked, just one of many. He's big on dark souls games so I can see maybe how things like stamina and weapon management bugged him more than usual. He still layed out everything he liked and things he didn't like and recommended the game. I don't see where you think he had it out for zelda
Sometimes you spent so much time saving or getting resources for a weapon to be made that if it broke it just pissed you off. Having a blacksmith on hand in the Witcher was a godsend. Zelda is kind of kiddy, so I get the gimmick. They want you to try out as many weapons as possible, so for every weapon you lose, you gain another. I wouldn't give a pass to breaking weapons in the witcher in the way I did with Zelda.
Not at all. The Witcher calls for the best armor and swords at all times in a serious way.
I hate weapon deterioration in ANY game. From what I've heard Zelda has it on steroids to the point where people don't bother going in shrines because the weapon they get there will just break and not be repairable. Witcher 3 wasn't really my cup of tea and that was part of the reason but also the weapons could be repaired and lasted longer so I could still get attached to one.
I am Iron Man
I love this weapon durability.
Witcher 3 had hundreds of swords, yet I only used a couple. Zelda has hundreds of different weapons, and I've used all hundred of those weapons at some point or another. And am constantly using new ones all the time. Heck, I wish my shield broke more often. Feels like I have the same shield for like 5-6 hours at a time. Need to shield surf more i think. wear those suckers down
