No, you do find rare weapons. I do get attached to them because I like using them. For a game thats all about freedom, they sure like to limit you with the weapons.

Name a rare weapon in the game.

The fire sword.

I think weapons respawn so a cool weapon is not gone forever after breaking.

I'm basing this off of my relatively brief time playing the game as well as some online discussion:

https://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/189707-the-legend-of-zelda-breath-of-the-wild/75096610

Thats better, but still I would have to go back to wherever I found the weapon every time it breaks. I know it was in a shrine, but I dont remember which one. I just think it becomes a hassle, but that its not lost forever is a comfort though.

I don't think shrine chests respawn. Or I've never re-enterd a shrine so I would't know.
But if they do, then place a pin on that shrine i guess.

Guessing your talking about this side quest that was find some famous theifs treasure. Found it, had a cool fire sword. Super early in game. I saved the shit out of that weapon.

Now i've thrown that very same weapon to the ground or ignored picking it up dozens of times at least, not countin the dozens I broke using. But you can find that weapon super easy in teh game, and also in varients as well. Such as +durability, +damage +throw, ect.

The only rare weapons/shields in the game are repairable.

Now i've thrown that very same weapon to teh ground to pick something else up like 20 times at least. Not to mention you can find beter varients of each weapon such as stronger, or more durable, ect.

Sure you can find better weapons, but I want to keep cool weapons I like. Thats the fun of finding new weapons imo. I always hope the chests have other things than weapons because its not interesting finding new ones. A thing I really loved in Dark Souls. As I said its not a game breaker, but it makes the weapons and finding them less special.

The video already has 35k views, all the assholes have sprung up to claim that anyone who likes nintendo is a nazi, and we gave birth to a problem which shouldn't exist.

It's not his reviews that bother me- it's the presentation. Projared is notoriously known for giving harsh reviews, and yet you rarely see him in these types of issues. Why? It's because of the way he PRESENTS his opinions.

Then again, I don't disagree with his point about fanboys. All fanboys are toxic. He could give zelda 0/10 and I'd forget about it in a matter of a few minutes. Not like my 70 hours of fun will suddenly be deleted

"Oh if only he were NICER about the way he dissected my favorite game." You know that wouldn't pacify anyone when it comes to fanboys and Metacritic scores. Let's just be real here.

I could care less about fanboys. I also never said you have to be kid friendly and become a SJW.

I simply dislike the way he creates his reviews. Simple as that. Considering how he even want on a rant over some weapons breaking, I guess we can see the way most of his videos probably are. Instead of complaining though, I'll just avoid his videos.

Didn't say you couldn't keep cool ones you like. Was pointing out that those cool ones you like are common place. Use it. For everyone you break, you shall find two to replace it.

If you think a fire sword is rare, you just aren't very far in the game. They, and others are so commonplace. You don't have enough inventory space to hold on to all of teh cool weapons in the game. Trust me.

Ive beaten the game. Still only found the fire blade once.

Some people will hate me for it but... i actually agree... now dont get me wrong i dont entirely hate weapon durability systems. they are a part of the souls games that i love but the weapons in Breath of the Wild from what im seeing (i havent played the game) seem to break after very few use (unlike the ones in Souls) and if they are consistently breaking during combat then yeah i can see that being annoying to me.

Pretty much every cool weapon has a spot in the game where it's stuck in the ground or leans against a wall and can easily be picked up. It takes a good while to respawn though (at least one hour). Additionally, enemies can occasionally be armed with rarer weapons, so usually there's more than one source for each weapon.

You can place up to 100 stamps on the map to mark important locations. The photo feature of the shiekah stone can add weapons to your almanac, so you can read up on the rough location of your desired weapon and activate the sensor to track it down. Taking pictures of everything you come across makes things easier to find. You can drop weapons and items from your inventory to take a picture and then pick up the dropped stuff to add it back to your inventory.

Cool feature, but if I went back to a place every time a weapon I like broke, I wouldnt do anything else in the game.

It's one of those you have to play to know. Watchig, I thought same. First 10 hours, I also thought same. Now, I love it. Heck, I am happy at times when I see it say badly damaged on weapon.

1. It will free up an inventory space for a possible weapon in future I will really want and then won't have to drop something I still like.

2. If I'm fighting something decent, I know that when the weapon breaks it does extra damage, and even more damage if I throw it.

But usually any enemy that takes more than one weapon to deal with, you find that many or more weapons on him that are at least as good if not better. They only difference is, they are different. So your fire sword and lightning great sword might have broke, but you just found a amazing lightning lance and a sweet ice sword.

The weapon breakage is ridiculous, regardless of how fantastic the game is, so he has a good point, especially the part about constantly pausing and entering inventory to equip new gear. However, his 7/10 score seems overly harsh.
Not harsh enough to tell him to drink bleach though (besides; he's already pale enough as is).
