I think fatal frame II crimson butterfly is scarier, there's something about Japanese environments that makes everything scary.

Okay i know I'm gonna sound like an idiot, but I've always wondered what that blacking out thing was. Could someone explain? I always figured here had to be some way to reveal writing underneath, but I cant figure it out. I only use the internet on my iphone. |
The text is revealed if you highlight it. I'm not sure how that works on your phone, but on mine i just double tap the text and it brings up the highlighting tool.

It's scary, but nowhere near as horrifying as RE6 was. I'm still scarred from that. I remember screaming in terror when the game forced me into the umpteenth QTE sequence and continuously destroyed my immersion, or when Chris become an even bigger inconsistent mess of a character every freaking scene.
RE7 was great though.

Eh RE7 is pretty good but don't even think it tops REmake as best RE game. B ehonest the final fight in RE7 is crap. Looks awesome but eh. |
On a personal level RE3: Nemesis is still my fav. But as far as horror games go, IMO RE7 is in a totaly different leagune than REmake. REmake was good, but nowherer near as terrifying as RE7. But again, this might be a bit subjective

We are a rare breed. We know how it is.

Maybe not the best, but it's certainly the one I have played the most, 52 hours clocked in VR. And the only horror game I felt like beating at the hardest difficulty level, twice. SH2 had a more amazing setting, however I never finished that.

And what about PS4+PSVR owners? |
They've got serious balls too but just not as big as the ps4 pro RE7 players. That experience is horrifying.
It's the best horror game of this gen. The only downside i could think of from RE7 is the lack of enemy variety. Would be nice to see some real zombies. Zombies >>>> monsters
Silent HIll 2, Alan wake and Condemned where all beter IMO
