Forums - Nintendo - Nintendo Switch - Why whould I?

Because it is the most powerful handheld gaming device on the market with games comparable in scope to what wr see on modern consoles. With that in mind, you van play your handheld on the TV just as you would a console, even if compared to actual consoles it seems a bit lavking in power.

It truly is the best of both worlds and the potential is there for Nintendo to unify their handheld and console library on the Switch, making more games available for a single Nintendo device. Just remember, this is a handheld that can act as a console, not the other way around. It truly is a good gaming machine to have.

As for games, as of now Zelda is the only note worthy title. However many more games are in the works and other quality titles will soon be available. If this is your primary concern, wait until Mario Odyssey, Xenoblade 2, Splatoon 2, or even a few more great games to release you you give yourself options when you do get it. While I say the Switch is definitely good to have, timing is everything. All I needed was Zelda to get me started, but that is not the case for everyone. Get it when it feels right to get it, but it is certainly worth the money when you do get it.

It's brilliant that the Switch has had a good launch which means Nintendo will continue with it but I'm not interested in it myself currently. Too expensive with not enough software. I'm looking forward to a revised model down the line with more competitive pricing. If the worst does happen and it fails commercially with a huge cliff style drop in sales in a month or so then I'm sure Nintendo will price drop or bundle anyway. As I have bought Zelda on wii u there are absolutely no games announced so far I want on Switch until Mario Odyssey so its not even going to be a struggle to wait to buy a Switch I literally have no use for one currently.

Pretty much the problems you listed have quick work-around, and for the games it will become really attractive by the end of the year, with Zelda, MK8, Splatoon, Xenoblade, Mario Oddysey, ARMS, the small Nintendo titles, the myriad indie titles, whatever third party support Nintendo manages to get, plus what else they have to announce at E3.

Just hold off your purchase for now.

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

I have never understood the point of threads like this

"convince me to buy something i dont want"

do not force yourself on something you don't like

It doesn't seem like he's asking anyone to convince him, he's already made up his mind. He just wants us all to know that.

I'm waiting until at least the end of the year to see how it performs.

You buy consoles for the GAMES!!!

Do you like the exclusives that is coming?
- Zelda
- MK8 Deluxe
- Arms
- Splatoon 2
- FE Warriors
- Mario Odyssey
- Xenoblade 2
- SMT
- FE 2018

Or do you like Nintendo games in General? Because expect franchises like Super Smash, Pikmin, Animal Crossing, Pokemon, Monster Hunter, Mario Party and etc to come to the Switch.

Pocky Lover Boy!

You don't, at least not yet. Early adoption of any platform is for the people who have a lot of money or know that a lot of games they want are coming. You are neither.

No bluray player, lol. You could buy a USB one. Have fun carrying that around with you.

Local multiplayer is out? Are you confusing the Switch with something else?
