But Bomberman is amazing! You can play it with 8 people and it never gets old. I played Bomberman 64 and Bomberman DS for years.

And I remember a whole lot of people saying very similar things about Knack. Knack was terrible and sold over a million copies.

Yeah but Bomberman is a franchise that has existed for decades and there are countless clones on it on the internet. It's a timeless concept. Haven't played Knack btw, can't comment on that.

Was there even another Bomberman in the last 20 years? Well, beside that weird XBox game that wasn't really Bomberman...

PSA - bomberman is $39 if you have an Amazon prime sub

That's good, as that likely means more Bomberman games in the future. Super Bomberman made my friends and I save up for a multiplayer adapter for tour SNESes. Hopefully any sequel will release at a lower price as they won't be launch software, though.

Bomberman 64 now on Wii U E shop as well as Bomberman 94. A Bomberman resurgence on Nintendo consoles

What does that have to do with the price of tea in China? The franchise might be decades old, but that doesn't mean it's kept with the times, is still relevant today, and is a interesting purchase for your average gamer. See Sonic the Hedgehog for another series that has devolved into absolute drivel in recent times (although Sonic Mania might actually change that). But just because Sonic 2 was absolutely incredible does not mean Sonic Boom was a great game, that people wanted to play.

wow.... they are selling this at 50 bucks? That's almost as bad as selling an updated version of Tetris or Pacman at 50 bucks...

Nintendo fans will buy anything man, just anything.

No need to get so defensive. As I said, Bomberman is a timeless concept. It's an arcade game, it doesn't get better with better graphics. But no need to argue over it, my original response to your post was meant in a humorous way. If you think the franchise didn't age well that's fine of course, we agree to disagree then.

Surprising consider it is a $50 game with a 63 on metacritic.

Then again what was 20 years ago? Bomberman 64? That was the last one I liked so I guess it makes sense.

Got a Wii U? Then you'll be pleased to know that Bomberman 64 just came out on the Virtual Console today as well.

It sold out here at EB Games. Cant buy it until a 2nd shipment next month O_0
