No need to get so defensive. As I said, Bomberman is a timeless concept. It's an arcade game, it doesn't get better with better graphics. But no need to argue over it, my original response to your post was meant in a humorous way. If you think the franchise didn't age well that's fine of course, we agree to disagree then.
