Obviously did this so they don't get confusion like the Wii U. Everyone now knows the switch is a gaming device first. Now we can get youtube and such eventually

Good. This should obviously be a gaming platform in its primary role, but it also has the potential to take on the iPad et al.

I don't know about that. Usually these things seem to take some time, so I'd expect there to still be a good bit of missing functionality by Christmas. That said, I too am expecting the situation to be significantly better.

Cool to hear for people who want it. I just wanna play games on the go on my Switch. For everything else, I got my PC.

Except the year is 2017 and every gaming platform and digital device has those services. Most consumers (just like us before we found out) actually expect it of modern devices including the Switch. Multimedia functionality at launch would have been preferable.

Will come eventually, would be really surprised if it didn't..

Should have done that before launching the console reggie.
