Forums - Nintendo - 10 hours into BotW Wii U edition and I have no framerate problems

As much as I'm enjoying the game, I think critics finally lost all credibility. At 98 meta you shouldn't be having the technical hiccups that this game is having. I don't even bother playing it docked anymore as the dips are too jarring.

As for the Wii U, i heard the dips are solely in villages.

Anyway kids, off to Japan tonight, will see if I can snag a copy of Puyo Puyo Tetris. Doubt it's a language intensive game.

I'm wondering if I should get it on the Wii U or hold out until I get a Switch...

Same here. This is my real struggle.

I'm just gonna get it for both. currently playing on wii u. It's fun enough to make me want to play it again in a few months.

My backlog is pretty huge right now so theres no real rush to play it other than the obvious fact that it looks amazing. Though I think I might just hold out for a while.

I am playing the Wii U version and I'm now used to its framerate drops, even if I still notice them. It's part of the deal, so I have no choice but to live with it.

I do hope Nintendo releases a patch to fix all this, but I doubt this will ever happen.

I'm still enjoying the heck of it despite that. It's too early to tell, some people might say, but to me this is the series' best 3D Zelda.

Makes sense. I dont have Any Nintendo consoles though. I could just simply buy this on the Wii U, but im afraid that might make me not want to buy a switch.

no nintendo consoles :O

If that's the case, nothing wrong with waiting. it'll let you enjoy the game without people going nuts around you.

Makes sense. Havent played a bomberman since I was a child either. A quick thinkers multiplayer game right there. Owning a PS4 and Xbox One is just making it really hard to look at it as well. This month is packed with hot multiplatform titles and exclusives.

3 hours in, I have not noticed frame drops

The audio lagged a couple of times during a cutscene, but that's it. No actual problems so far.

I can't tell if I'm getting used to them, or if they're happening less frequently. In any case, at about 10 hours in, I'm noticing fewer problems.

I'm on Wii U.

Good to know.

I get the occasional framerate glitch when riding a horse at top speed and belting an enemy on the way through. It actually stops the game for a split second.

Other than that, you can't really complain about the framerate. They've done a great job at optimising, given what the game does.

This is the best wii u game ever for me so far, 1 hour in but really enjoying the atmosphere and graphics. Technically best I've seen on wii u even better than xenoblade however only playing on gamepad at the moment. Not noticed any frame rate drops yet.
