Forums - Nintendo - 10 hours into BotW Wii U edition and I have no framerate problems

I've been playing on Switch for about 15 hours and noticed a couple dips around the Plateau and then one during a fight in West Necluda. That's about it. Maybe I'm just not as sensitive as others to frame rate drops?

I adore Demon's and Dark Souls, and my favorite game is Ocarina of Time, which runs at a blistering 20 fps, so maybe I'm not the one to ask

It's almost unplayable in Kakariko village. Also at the stables. Sometimes randomly when you turn around too.

Never at critical moments though for me so far.

I had to buy the wii u version today, I'm noticing framerate issues at the forrest area where you fight with stone talus (plateau) I'm so mad that my favorite franchise and most anticipated game ever is "the best game ever and best zelda game ever" and runs like ass. Hopefully there's a patch.

It has a lot to do with what you're used to. I've started to notice framerate drops (and sluggish framerates in general) a lot more after I got into PC gaming. I guess one of the biggest downsides to PC gaming is that it makes console gaming experiences a bit worse haha.

On the Switch version I've had no real issue as far as framerate goes, I'm currently exploring the Hateno region.

Definitely. I think everyone has his or her own pet peeve. Mine is screen-tearing. Oh, how I hate it.

The framerate in Kakariko village can sometimes take a nose dive (on Wii U at least) but otherwise it's fine.

I remember the game stuttered when I entered one village. It also lagged a bit when I was going nuts with the camera and running like a maniac.

Otherwise, not too bad

I haven't had anymore slowdowns after the great plateau either on docked Switch. And there it was isolated to a few spots in the spirit forest and a heavy grassy plane. I've mostly been in the mountains and desert since then, no towns. The system did freeze on me during a fight yet somehow it recovered after half a minute.

i mean WiiU version is 720p, right? Switch version is 900p so it may struggle a little more framerate wise
