Forums - Nintendo - How perfect is that Switch Pro Controller?

If I could find one, I'd buy it. I got overconfident and didn't preorder. The regular Joycon grip is fine, though. Could be better.

I have pretty much all controllers from last gens and the Wii-U pro controller wasn't great.
The Dualshock from ps4 is really good much better then the ps3.

But the Xbox One controller still holds the #1 spot for me but since the Switch is so simulair in design I'd might be the best controller I guess, the layout is good and it looks well build. I hope someone I know buys it so I can test it out but its clearly a much needed improvement from the bad layout used in their last pro controller.

Can't be worse than the joycon grip. Did you say the pro controller buttons click? I hope you don't mean like the cheap clicks of the joycons.

Mine is arriving Tuesday.

I like the transparent design and the little Phillips screws at the end of the grips.
I don't like the glossy top where the sync button and usb-c connector are. They should have made it all matte...

Slightly heavier than the U Pro controller and slightly narrower too.
Buttons are bigger than I expected, Y/B somewhat close to the right thumbstick.
Dpad and buttons feel just like the U Pro, with some ridges at the edges of the thumbsticks.

Need to play a bit with it before I can comment on the triggers, but they seem close.

I really like it. Just wish it had analog triggers.

I just meant pressing them was satisfying. They don't make a click sound.

kinda hard to describe, but the controller grips/handles seem to consist of a material different than the main shell portion..Because of that, switch pro con is a bit "sticky" in a good way. Guessing it was made to accommodate long play sessions and dampness. Definitely beats Wii U pro and edges xb1 (dpad obviously)

I'm happy enough with the grip controller that I'm not sure I ever plan on getting the pro controller. At least not at that price.

There's even an easter egg in the controller, a hidden message.
