I think Andromeda will be the best selling game in March.

Mass Effect games havent been huge sellers. the 3 games total sold 14 million units, and thats after having major discounts to the triology edition that costs 5$ for the 3 games total. thats an average of 4.3 million per game. while its certainly good, its not a mega block buster franchise, despite its pedigree in the gaming community.  for comparison, Uncharted 1/2/3 sold 21 million on PS3 alone, thats an average of 7 million per game, and that franchise is exclusive.

It wont be as huge as ME3 which sold around 1.1m but i see it doing 800k-900k.

While true that mass effect hasn't been a huge franchise it's not fair comparing it to a series that got around 5 million sales from bundles.

i think andromeda will sell around 5 million this year, 7-8 million lifetime. This is my global estimation by the way.

just looking at the charts it's doing very well but idk about being the best selling game in march. There's horizon, Zelda, and ghost recon to go up against. Ghost should be the hardest compitition for taking the month. Whoever wins I expect it will be close.

Even if Uncharted got 5 million of its sales from bundles, as an IP (which can't be substantiated, anyway), that's still more than the Mass Effect franchise.

As noted, it's never been a big selling IP.

I know. I have the ability to do simple math. I was just saying it wasn't a fair comparison.

Halo MCC will sell 5+ million copies(including digital)

halo 5 will sell 10 million copies(including digital)

x1 will pass ps4 in USA, and UK.

You mean npd right. And if andromeda does 800-900k that would make it bigger than me3. Digital market share is growing.

So it looks like ps4 will beat xb1 again in March making it 3/3 over its rival.

Is there anything pre scorpio launch that could stop ps4 going on a 8/9 month winstreak in 2017? Maybe a $199 price drop at E3 but you'd expect that to come in the fall.

MS are in a slightly clearer position than Sony were when they released the Pro. Sony didn't want to confuse the market too much, which is why they made the launch of the Pro low key and still to this day leave it to 'word of mouth' for promotions. They had, and still have, a best selling console but on the other hand MS don't, so they have nothing to lose. They CAN promote it heavily without worrying too much about the XB1 because they're initial (and probably sustaining) market will be those who want to upgrade. With heavier promotions, they should be able to garner at least two month wins. I don't think we'll see until the 3rd or 4th month how sustainable that spike in sales will be, especially when Sony have so much software to promote the PS4/PS4pro (bundles are going to be very importent once the Scorpio releases) and the likelihood of at least a $50 price drop for both systems. Give it two months after the release of the Scorpio and we'll start seeing a clearer picture. Right now though, it would be premature to even consider how successful the Scorpio will be.

Agree completely with everything you say here. Scorpio will give Xbox 2 wins for npd this year anything beyond that is unclear. I also doubt Xbox can take a npd without Scorpio. Maybe a month or 2 towards the holidays but that seams doubtful as well with all the well received exclusives Sony has.

Although I would like any of the holy trinity this month to sell the most (Horizon, Zelda or Mass Effect) I have a sneaking suspicion that Ghost Recon Wildlands will end up taking the March sales crown. Horizon is an exclusive, Zelda will have to work against Switch stock, and Ghost Recon will have two more weeks of sales over Mass Effect. I would bet, though, that the game is the most average of the bunch. I bought it in the Target 2 for 1 sale, and it's okay, but it's certainly not as good as For Honor or even the Division. It's a bit janky, honestly.

Also, I wouldn't be surprised if the Xbox One gets a sneaky NPD win or two over the ps4 in the slower months. MS tends to throw in crazy sales at strange times, such as Amazon Prime day.
