Horizon is holding so well

and Mass Effect is finally doing well, does not seem to be a great deal of hype for such a big name game

Switch holding the top very well!

Pocky Lover Boy!

PS4 is now ahead of the Switch in the hourlies.

Also Mass Effect seems to be doing fine but its taken it some time to climb the charts.... it might actually be due to competition from stuff like Zelda/Horizon Zero Dawn.

Unsurprising, considering that the latter is sold out, available only from scalpers asking 125$ over the recommended price.

Bet with PeH:

I win if Arms sells over 700 000 units worldwide by the end of 2017.

Bet with WagnerPaiva:

I win if Emmanuel Macron wins the french presidential election May 7th 2017.

Which makes Horizon being #6 very impressive since it has been out of stock for like two weeks now. It still won't be in stock for another 3 days.

Zelda too... Amazon really needs start stocking more stuff, this is ridiculous. Are they so intent on losing buisness?

So THAT's why Zelda slumped to #2.  Odd how they are handling out of stock issues with some of these things, usually you just wouldn't be able to buy through Amazon and there would be no display price.  Like what we see with the Switch.  Impressive that these two can stay so high though.

Though I am equally impressed MK8D is as high as it is this far from launch.  I mean dang.

Horizon sold out you can basically say the same for zelda but its worse. It was soooo sold out you couldnt even order it (they took it off the site)

Both are exceeding expectations.

The PS5 Exists.

So, Horizon is outselling Zelda in 3 of the major international markets:

ITALY: Horizon#3 Zelda#6
UK: Horizon#1 Zelda#9+10
FRANCE: Horizon#1 Zelda#3+5

All around they are neck and neck....I can't wait to see how the final first week numbers are going to turn out. My money is still on Horizon edging Zelda out in total WW numbers.

Interesting facts:

Zelda is a long running hugely popular franchise that has just been released after like 6 years on a brand new console so excitement and demand are HIGH. Lot's of nostalgia for this series due to how long it has been around. Even still, the install base is still in its infant stage but the fact remains, fans will be FIRST in line to pick it up. Zelda is one of those kinds of titles.

On the other hand, Horizon has NO history whatsoever and is from a developer that made FPS games that really didn't leave a lasting mark on the gaming industry. It's a brand new IP that no one really knows about yet here it is standing neck to neck with Zelda. It's Guerilla's first open world game and it's delivering. Word of mouth will be strong with this one.

Seriously, this is like the most exciting sales battle since I can remember since when was the last time two big profile games released like in the same month (within a week apart.) I'm REALLY curious which game will get the #1 spot overall. Based on Amazon sales, the edge may be favouring Zelda right now but you still gotta equate retail AND digital sales. Horizon could be big digital. We shall see.

In all fairness though, Horizon has an at least 2.5 times install base to exploit if you consider bothe the switch and wiiU as a combined intsall base with regards to zelda. But thats not taking away from it still doing very well for a new IP.

Am I the only that is getting this sneaking suspicion that this gen is about to become a tw way race between the PS4 and the switch and the XB1 is gonna become irrelevant... even with the scorpio.
