I can increase the mini storage up to 2TB. I can't do that with mini disc. |
Tales of Symphonia was on two disks... Not really an issue.

To be fair, in the time the GC was released you did not need additional storage aside from a few kb of saves, which you were also able to have as much as you want. You could argue that GC should've had internal storage in the first place but where would we be if Nintendo consoles came with everything you need. |
to be fair, you are just trolling all the time..
The perspective does matter. But so does context. Had this launched side by side with the PS4 and XB1, the Switch would be in a great position.
However, the PS4 and XB1 are both more powerful, have a huge library of games, have much more games coming, and cost less.
Hope the Switch does well so I can pick one up in a year or so, but I have my doubts.
Answering you is going to be too much work Shadow980. I dont want to even go through the ordeal of having to delete those crazy amount of answers.
I m not paying 300 bucks for a portable WiiU with no third party support and a barebone first party support.
I don't even want to read your answer since I already know you ll say everything to justify what you believe.
I don't think this console is worth 300, I dont care if you beliece otherwise. Getting tired of this debate anyway.

The Gamecube also notably had no additional features. While it's arguable if it was worth it, being able to take the system on the go does have a value (HD rumble being more questionable).
Bet with PeH:
I win if Arms sells over 700 000 units worldwide by the end of 2017.
Bet with WagnerPaiva:
I win if Emmanuel Macron wins the french presidential election May 7th 2017.

Comparing it to the Vita, it's a generation's worth of progress and competitively priced.

Why did you enter this thread then? Curiosity? Okay, I accept. Why did you post then? Boredom? Alright. Why did you bother replying a second time? Insanity? If you truly believe that the Switch is just a portable Wii U (it's not) and that it's too expensive, then fine. But don't try to chalk up arguments telling you the contrary as only supporting their "stance" when you clearly have already told yourself what to believe.
irstupid said: I always hate "inflation" arguments. $300 today still feels like a lot of money, just as it did 10 years ago to me. And I made a lot, a lot less money back then. (less expenses sure, but still even accounting that, a lot less free spending money than I do now) But you know, I suck it up and pay it. I know I will be buying at least 10+ games and it will be worth it. Same reason though, I don't have a PS4 though. Could I afford one? Yes, but I don't see 10+ games out or coming out that I want. Only a few, and a few is not worth the $300+ sticker price to me. Only got a One S for the 4k player. |
Inflation arguments tend to rely on two factors.
1. Wages keeping pace with inflation
2. Essential costs also remaining steady with inflation
Consoles are a tricky value proposition because they are a technology and also entertainment. Technology has consistently decreased in price as advancements occur, but entertainment is ambiguous to define as value.
I think Nintendo did fine by launching at $300 given friend I know has scoured everywhere and expects to have to wait months to get one. I do expect a pric edrop within first 18 months to least $250 though.
