Zelda has been getting huge praise for its realism being on a level that is unheard of.

Defintely a realism that is unheard of, with it's water, wind physics, oh and those weapon animations! Oh and the somewhat good chances of being hit by thunder, that is definetely realistic!

The game has some great "realisitic" features, but it's far from being unheard of.

The bolded part of your post is pretty unheard of if you ask me.  😉

The pro-Nintendo bias by critics is a bit annoying. Other than that, I'm not sure there's a lot of positive Nintendo news. The day 1 patch did not fix the desyncing issues, for example.

Reports are actually saying the day 1 patch did indeed fix the desyncing issues.

Digital Foundry:

UPDATE 2/3/17 4:00pm: The Nintendo Switch's day one system update has launched, and there are reports online that installing the patch with the Joy-Cons attached updates the firmware on the controllers, resolving the de-sync issues. Is this really the case? Unfortunately not. We've updated our console with controllers attached and re-run the battery of tests detailed below. In all cases, the range and consistency of the connection of each Joy-Con remains the same, and the left controller still has demonstrably weaker range than the right. Eurogamer has contacted Nintendo several times now concerning this issue, and we still await a reply.

You know what's amazing? It took about five years since Super Mario Galaxy's release for it to dethrone Ocarina of Time as the highest rated game ever on GameRankings. Now, Breath of the Wild has taken the crown and did before its LAUNCH! That's insane!

Well, I suppose the mods decided to uphold the rules and found that I wasn't posting anything against the TOS. In this thread I'm just posting my opinion about how reviewers are biased towards some Nintendo IPs and are influenced by nostalgia. Otherwise, Nintendo should be able to make new IPs that similarly good scores.

Can I get a source for this?

Here's an anecdote - back in the day, when SMG came out and before GR was bought by CNET, someone sent on Gamefaqs sent an email to the owner of GR showing that the numbers were wrong and that SMG should actually #1. The owner then proceeded to remove a review for OoT which bumped it back to #1. This is a true story and I verified the numbers myself back then.
