No, the Switch is a dedicated gaming device.

People aren't buying it for the same reason they buy a tablet. Or else it would have 4G.

There are many things the PS4, PS4 Pro and X1 didn't launch with that they got later on through updates. What's your point exactly?

Your point was that wired headphones are a thing of the past.

I pointed out that a tablet released in 2017 without a browser is "in the past" too.

You didn't like it, not one bit.

Point is, you've no good defense as to why the browser wont be included at launch, and you've no good defense as to why the pro controller doesn't have a headphone port either. and you use "but I dont need these things" as if it cancels out the people who state that they do, well it doesn't, it's a shit defense.

Buy a wireless headphone, problem solved. You don't need a headphone jack.

Switch is not a tablet, so the comparison doesn't make much sense. I'm not defending the lack of browser at launch, I just don't consider it a big deal because I know it will come in a future update.

The point, very specifically, is that the PRO controller does not have a headphone port.

It's a PRO controller, one that costs $80, it should have this very basic feature.

It only costs $70 and it's priced that way because of the gyrometer, accelerometer and HD rumble. It also has a far better battery life than the PS4 or X1 controller.

So yeah, safe to say I'll take that vastly superior battery life over this very basic feature of yours.

What? No table infront of the couch? Where do you put all your stuff on?

He has a pro controller, didn't have money for a coffee table AND the controller.

Well, he didn't have money for a room either, because he plays in space. At least, move the coach more towards the TV. See, a solution to every issue.

Sucks, but I've personally never used headphones for gaming.

Vastly superior?, so i take it you're taking the "estimated 40 hours, may be less depending on usage" as gospel then?

My someones going to look silly after launch.

People still use wired headphones these days?

Lol. 10 AD called, they want their technology back.

I guess they were trained to use that ancient technology with the 3DS.

The Wii U pro controller lasted 80 hours while actively playing.

My someone's looking silly just about now.

Come on Nintendo, headphone ports on the controllers should be a given in 2017...

That's funny, because off of a full charge mine only lasts about 33 hours of actual gameplay (XCX, Fatal frame and a bit of MK8), which is less than half the advertised and much repeated time of 80 hours, and it was only a month old at the time.

Again, both the 80 hours for the wiiu pro controller and the 40 for the switch are estimates for minimal input.

Conversely, my standard xbox one controller lasts about the same as the wiiu pro controller did, when using a set of eneloop rechargable AA batteries.

So if we estimate that the realistic battery life of the controller under heavy use is say.. half the estimated, that puts the switch pro controller at 20 hours give or take a few., significantly less than my xbox one controller under the same usage.

So where's your "vastly suprior" now?
