We also have those threads for the other consoles. It's just fair.

Nintendo fans (like myself) just admit it: That SUCKS. It's probably a great game that would add variety to the console.
But also, it's what we should expect. The only third party games that will come for Switch are the ones that really make sense. Sports games, fighting games, platforming games and, if the Skyrim sells well, less demanding versions of some successful AAA games.
Skyrim is the exception, not the rule.
| RolStoppable said: Great times ahead. Switch is not going to get AAA third party games, but will sell regardless. That's going to be infuriating to people. |
So many old narratives are gonna be broken with Switch, we have some pretty exciting years ahead indeed.
Hello fellow necrobumpers.
Did FFVII remake release already? or they changed development to PS6?
For Honor looks fun but not 60$ kind of fun, and nobody really expected it to release on Switch anyway sooo....

"- This new console will get a lot of third party support, we'll be able to play the same games as the other consoles, yeah! - This big incoming third party game won't release on this console. - LOL, who cares about this game anyway? - This third party developer isn't interested in this console. - It's a sh*tty developer, so who cares? - All of these third party games will never release on this console. - Nobody cares, we buy this console for its first party games anyway!" |

Glad to see that my old comment is still up to date. What will be the next crappy game nobody even cares about that will thankfully avoid corrupting the Switch? Ghost Recon? Prey? South Park?

If they keep generating as many replies as this one has then it's a fairly safe bet they'll keep happening |
True.
Unfortunately, they are not growing .
Ubisoft doesn't trust this game will sell enough to invest in a port. Look at what happened with Watchdogs.

Why do you make up things? Out of 90 posts how many of them have this attitude you mention, 1 or 2? lol
You are trying hard but you forgot to read.

That's a much more refreshing attitude than "we didn't want it anyways", or any variation of "it would be a bad port", "bad optimization". So well done. |
Actually, that's easier to accept when you already have a PS4 or a XOne. But in the end, anyone who really want a Switch will have to face the truth: it won't have a lot a excellent games. Just won't. It can sell bazillions units and it won't change the fact that the majority of triple A third party games won't come. Because of power, because of the relationship Nintendo have with third parties or because people just won't buy it (for various reasons: late port, bad port, incomplete port, buying the better version in other console/PC or even because Nintendo fans really don't like that type of games). It doesn't mean that a game is bad or the company who made it is greedy/bad/lazy. Also, it doesn't mean the Switch is bad and people shouldn't buy it. It's a good concept and I'm sure it will have good first party games and more support then the Wii U. If you see value in it, just buy it (like I intend to do one day). But don't jump blindly in this train and pretend that all games will come and the ones who doesn't are shitty games.

Despite South Park being on the 64 - I would still be surprised to see South Park on the Switch. Those two games are VASTLY different. The South park on the 64 was just a shooting game with a South Park skin. The jokes I saw in the "stick of truth" games I don't think would ever be on a Nintendo system. So I'd be surprised if "fractured but whole" would be on the switch. Specially with that name, and the mechanic of "farting" to stop time. Just a guess though. |
In terms of performance, could happen. But I'm with you. Don't see that happen on a Nintendo system these days. Maybe in the Game Cube years. Not now. Wii U didn't have Stick of Truth and they launch in the same period. So no reason to believe that Switch will have Fractured But Whole.

It will probably be a good game, but certainly not a big seller that justify the investment in a port. Even more a late port.
