Looks Like Zelda: Breath Of The Wild Development Is Finished

The newest Zelda is almost here.

After years of development and multiple delays, it looks like Nintendo has finally finished its highly anticipated RPG The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

Below is an image of Breath of the Wild's wrap party, which took place at a hotel near Nintendo's headquarters in Kyoto, Japan on February 3, according to Eurogamer. The image comes from one of the attendees, Monolith Soft (Xenoblade Chronicles) developer Yasuyki Honne. As Game Informer explains, Monolith Soft contributed to Breath of the Wild, so it's not surprising people from the team would attend the event.

Most of the people in this picture are dressed fairly casually. If you zoom in, you can see someone wearing a Link hat; this person appears to be standing next to Zelda creator Shigeru Miyamoto.

Breath of the Wild comes out on March 3 as a launch title for the Nintendo Switch. The game is also coming to the Wii U that day and it could be the last first-party game for the system.

In other Breath of the Wild news, preorders are now open for some adorable Link figures based on his appearance in Breath of the Wild--check them out here. Additionally, Nintendo aired a Switch trailer during Super Bowl LI last night that featured Breath of the Wild prominently.

Glad that it's confirmed!

So this is their version of "gone gold"?
I'd hope so it comes out in less than a month.

  • Deadliest mass shooting by an individual in US history (10/01/2017)
  • Deadliest high school shooting in US history (02/14/2018)
  • Deadliest massacre of Jews in US history (10/27/2018)
  • Political assassination attempt of TWO former presidents(and 10+ other people)  (10/23/2018 - and beyond)

Yes, let them have their little party. Then whip those developers back into their holes to churn out the next title.

I'm getting emotional.

Well, this is new.

Yes, it is.

Some dataminers have found that the game has already been uploaded to Nintendo's servers (though without the required files for it to be played, of course (or even hacked, in this case)).

Nice, next thing to be announced is a Wii U release date!
