Great thread CGI. Hellblade looks good. Is the game any good itself?

So far? Yes! Solid game!

@ Alchemist: Sniper's been eliminated.

Sorry I just got caught up literally right now with this thread : P

How do we know what games are left btw?

Also :

^Zelda does NOT look this good. This "demo" or custcene from the reveal of the game looks way better than the game. Add on top of that the fact that the shadows are a lot worse than they were before the game shipped, and I can't say this game really deserve to win(IMO).

Anyways if Sniper is gone then it's really just Horizon, Battlefront 2, and Hellblade for me. Uncharted is 4th I guess : D

Although....one game that I think looks really good that is slated for release in 2017 is https://youtu.be/6O_FGALPHhE

Uncharted, Hellblade and Horizon all look phenomenal. Although I think Uncharted LL takes the cake when it comes to the most Immersive world and the character and animation department while Horizon is the most impressive. Hellblade needs to get a HDR update, bit will defenitly be one of the best looking games this year even with a small budget. Which is very impressive, finally battlefront 2 will resemble the most convincing photorealism seem in games.

Please excuse my (probally) poor grammar

Yeah, I remember when that "demo" was revealed, a lot of people were saying there's no way final game will look like that - if for nothing else but for AA being way too good. Yet a lot of Nintendo loyals were claiming that Nintendo never downgrades, quite the opposite.

I also remember many games getting a lot of attention in  gaming press for dowgrades - yet I can't remember BotW receiving the same treatment....so, all in all, go figure.

BOTW was downgraded? Holy shit why was there no uproar over that like other publishers get?

I'm not sure. It probably has a lot to do with the fact that the game was revealed almost 3 years before it's release. A lot of people feast on the eye candy the game has going for it and completely forget that it looked better back in 2014. Also I remember VERY VIVIDLY the game having some controversy a few months before release where the shadow quality went downhill majorly, and it was rumored to be because of some issue the Switch was having, but I can't find any evidence of this so I'll just assume it was my bad memory that made it up. Either way, the anti-aliasing, detail in the draw distance, foliage density, color depth, and shadows from the 2014 trailer are way worse, etc. That was entirely a scriped trailer I believe(maybe the grass part was real at one point), which is something that's important to note, but the reveal was very misleading when the gameplay never came close to matching it. I'm not going to say it's a bad looking game, it looks very good.

Anyways I came back here to say I'm happy to announce that I can play Hellblade at max settings at 64-68fps consistently, except for a few dips during in game cutscenes, on a 970! Very exciting. The game runs beautifully and so far I like it, though the puzzles are a bit meh.

Clearly the correct answer is 1, 2, Switch:

Sniper Elite 4 and SGW, really?.

I'm guessing HZD will win by a landslide, like UC4 did with 2016's poll.

UC4 still looks better than HZD, so The Lost Legacy is the winner for me this year.

Horizon Zero Dawn.

The last few pics look photo-realistic : 0 I wonder how it will run on my ol' 970

Cgi are you taking your pictures with 4 Titan XP's or something?
