But they won't be able to hide that from the public. People today (those who don't know to look online at least) are more familiar with the family friendly Nintendo (Majora's Mask and Mother 3 aside), so doing so now would look bad on their image. It's like if Disney started making slasher movies.

Nonsense. Disney makes whatever they want through other companies. Nintendo could make a subsidiary company. Or if Nintendo really wanted to stand tall they could make a Nintendo themed love hotel and I wouldn't be shocked in the least if it is jam packed constantly. They just wouldn't call it a love hotel. Alternative facts that thing and call it something ese.
