To be fair he did say invented OR made mainstream. While NES/SNES had wireless controllers licensed by Nintendo and CDi had wireless controllers. Was not until Wavebird that Logitech and others started making wireless controllers for PS2/Xbox and soon everyone followed. Also remember N64 introduced 4 person multiplayer without needing a seperate device.

You're absolutley right, I completely missed that. My bad

Every single Nintendo console has been online and capable of DLC. Yes all the way back to Famicom,SNES,N64 and forward were online and had DLC.

Eh??? World Wide Web didn't even launch till 1991, how could the NES be "online capable."

Internet was invented in 1969. So online has been around in some form for nearly 50 years. To answer your question. With the Famicon Modem.

Famicom also had a special unit which allowed you to take screenshots and video.

Wow I'm amazed. I had absolutely no idea this thing existed. It's really confusing how Nintendo could go from being SO far ahead of the times to suddenly seeming like a company that is having trouble keeping up with the modern world in that regards.

Reggie just avoided the questions with PR talk... Lame.

Yup he didn't answer the question of whether it would be good for Nintendo, instead he just said "But we make new things and sometimes it's good, we gotta innovate it's good for gaming yeah?" And then some random mention of parental controls. Not a good debate on his part at all. Also I'll belive the comment about good third party support on Switch when I see it.

Notice how he doesn't comment at all on the very first point about Nintendo's Stock Prices rising from mobile games. He just immediately changes the subject to "What Nintendo does for the industry is important, it's what we take pride in, Innovating the world of video games."

He at no point says Nintendo as a company are better off making hardware. He just says video games are better off for it.

If it means Nintendo's games on PC, I'm all for it!

The Dow Jones also rose to record heights because of Donald Trump, what's your point?

Tell me, what are the makers of Angry Birds or Candy Crush doing now?

My point is that in a debate about whether Nintendo should be third party or first party he avoids many points and changes the subject to something completely different.

How in a debate with such a topic he cannot address whether it's good for Nintendo itself rather than just the industry as a whole is telling in itself.

As for Angry Birds or Candy Crush.... wtf?

But yeah it's a debate titled "Should Nintendo stop making consoles." And he doesn't even make a case about what's best for Nintendo.

that video is no use to vgchartz, that's pretty much all the conversations we have here.

Anytime anyone says "Nintendo should go third party" No. I don't want to have two consoles that are almost exactly the same. That's boring. I enjoy the different things Nintendo tries to do with their systems/controllers. It breaks the monotony. I really don't see why people would want there to be less competition.

It's not that I want less competition, I just don't want to be forced to buy inferior hardware that I don't like to play games I do.

I basically have to pay $300 for something I don't want, to have the privilege of spending $60 on something I do.
