I think this game is going to be a GOTY candidate. As far as world size....It's hard to peg it from this, but it looks big. Hard to tell though for sure though.

I don't really like big maps... let's hope it doesn't take forever going on empty landscape from one mission to the other.

Snowy mountains can be anywhere. They are snowy because they are tall, so the air is cold. Take Kilimanjaro for instance. It's located in the middle of the african savannah, but it's still snowy.
Side note: Can people stop the dick-measuring contest about map sizes? Map size doesn't matter.

The Witcher III says hello lol. |
Still can't believe how Witcher 3 not only had an amazing world, but managed to create DLC that could be justified as a stand alone game.
Definitely one of the best games I've ever bought at full price
I wonder how much of that you can explore and how much is impassable mountains to give a false sense of size like so many games do. Also not just empty space like FFXV and hopefully feels alive and filled with stuff to do.
Looks impressive. Picking up the game day 1.
Bet with Intrinsic:
The Switch will outsell 3DS (based on VGchartz numbers), according to me, while Intrinsic thinks the opposite will hold true. One month avatar control for the loser's avatar.
Maybe its just me, but I think map sizes are kinda a silly way to measure the size of a game world. As contradicting as that may sound.
To me, I think if a game world is well designed the size would just feel right. There is this almost magical way a game world can make you get lost in it and not because its just vast and you forget where you are but because its well designed. Where you can kinda use landmarks to chart your way through it without having to refr to a world map every 100 steps.
Kinda like how it was n SotC and games like ocarina of time and soul reaver.
But what do I know.....
