That might actually force Mexico to pay for it. They have to trade with US or else they will be done for.
I think the US should build the wall or fence or whatever and pay for it themselves. Mexico won't have any complaints then.

I think they should push for compromise of payment. Just flat out saying no is gonna suck if it means no American will want to pay for more expensive goods.
