Forums - Nintendo - How are 2 Joycons being $79.99 overpriced when 2 PS Move controllers are $99.99!?

Wii Remote Plus & Nunchuk costs $60

A pair of PS Move controllers costs $100

The HTC Vive controller costs $130

The Oculus Touch controller costs $200

A single Joy-Con for $50 and a pair for $80 is absolutely reasonable compared to other motion controllers on the market.

Well, yes. Compared to other controllers it is, but by itself I still wouldn't pay $80 for a pair of them. Like I said, other controllers being even more overpriced doesn't make the somehow not overpriced as fas as I'm concerned. It's just a little less overpriced.

So how can something be overpriced if its cheaper than most similar devices? i think you just need to accept that motion control devices arent cheap.

It is overpriced because $80 is too much for a pair of controllers as far as I'm concerned. Nothing more complex about it.

Question: is anyone here who wants to buy two additional joycons? It seems like a rare buy for those who do large local co-op.

2P Arms motion controls. 4P Mario Kart.

If Mario Kart 9 has 2P/kart like double dash (8P total) then I'll be buying another 6(3pairs).

Nov 2016 - NES outsells PS1 (JP)

Don't Play Stationary 4 ever. Switch!

You need to buy two pairs of joy cons to match the functionality of one pair of dual shock 4's.

Now explain away the $70 pro controller with digital triggers over the $49.99 ds4

I thought the MSRP for a ds4 was $60. I'm sure you can find it cheaper somewhere if you look on Amazon or something but isn't that the price?

Pretty sure $60 is the MSRP for the DualShock 4

That's what I thought. Considering I have like three of them (and six Xbox One controllers-- which cost the same as a Dual Shock even without the motion controls and light bar. And that was before they added the headphone jack.). So why is NATO spreading the false narrative that two Switch controllers cost $20 more?

Makes me wonder if he has an agenda.

One is Nintendo, the other one isn't.

In theory yes, but will you actually buy these? I guess ARMS is the best real life scenario, but then again how many people buy ARMS?
