There was a lot of hububaloo about Nintendo not going to able to have enough time to release and advertise the Switch between the time of the full reveal and launch. Many assumed it would at the end of March at the time so many assumed they would have 2 months. Nintendo essentially has a month and a have to advertise the Switch before launch. I'm not sure how it was here, but I assume at least more than a handful of people said they wouldn't have time to advertise.

Do you still think this way? How about the people who thought 2 months would be plenty of time? Do you think differently now?

Personally I always thought it would be more than enough time to advertise it effectively. The enviornment for advertising has changed. I'm more assured by the amount of views these Switch videos and videos based off them have blown up. That and Nintendo has gradually increased its advertising game since the Wii U. I have no doubt the Switch advertisments will be clear and concise for the everyday consumer.

So far, I havn't seen any advertising in Germany. But, I wasn't at the places which sell those stuff in the first place after the presentation, so who knows.

Intel Core i7 8700K | 32 GB DDR 4 PC 3200 | ROG STRIX Z370-F Gaming | RTX 3090 FE| Crappy Monitor| HTC Vive Pro :3

Well I think if people aren't sold on it now, they wont be before launch.

I'm not a marketing expert, but a bit more than a month should be more than enough for a good ad campaign. Considering it's already sold out at many places, Nintendo probably has even more 'real' time to advertise it.

I havnt seen any advertiseing yet for it (tv, newspapier, websites ect).

Theres still alot of confusion and missing info about the switch.... so yeah.
Its marketing hasnt gone well so far.

The people that game alot will know about it, but the avg joe? might not even know its soon releaseing.

I think the first few people who are going to buy where the ones who were already planning to buy Zelda BOTW. They don't need more ads. I think in April or May is where we need to start seeing them.

Arms needs to get lots of ads. Just like Splatoon.

Pocky Lover Boy!

Well they already have a TV ad, I think there is no issue they've already done more advertising with the Switch than they ever did with the Wii U, especially from that Jimmy Fallon thing.

I'm looking at the March launch as an early one. The Switch will come into its own when Nintendo does a black friday price drop and bundles Mario Odyssey with it. Thats when it will really take off. Everything from March to November will be advertising by word of mouth from early adopters. This is Nintendo's plan.

Hey! They got SONY on my amiibo! Wait a minute. Two great gaming tastes that game great together!

Weird question because you can't still think so at this point. Pre-orders already sold out for the most part, so anyone who thought they needed more time, possibly including myself, is wrong.

Aside from gaming websites I've seen no advertising.
