So much for being a "really well communicated console compared to Wii U" I guess. Only a few weeks before launch, it won't serve them well to have people speculating about mostly negative things. They are not in a position to play it overly cool right now.
We know next to nothing about the actual structure of the online, we don't know what apps it supports or what multimedia functionality it will have, we don't know anything specific about the hardware capabilities besides speculation based on tidbits of info on various parts, we don't know anything about the UI or OS, the whole mobile app for communications is, ironically, really poorly communicated and hasn't been shown either. There are some loosely hanging possible software nudges with zero detail from a few key developers, the battery time estimates are really vague and give a huge gap of about 4 hours between expected battery time. We don't know how online will function before the paid service kicks in, will we be able to transfer games and other stuff from 3DS and Wii U and VC? Will this amazing mobile app come day one and if it doesn't, what does that mean for games like Mario Kart is you want to play online? Can you play multiplayer online at all from the start? What exactly does it mean when they say that the mobile app will "available in a limited, free version"?
Lots of questions, not a lot of time left before release. I've never seen an entertainment product being presented this obtusely and certainly not a console. It feels like stress and indecision is still plaguing Nintendo offices and the whole thing seems rather poorly planned, just like with the Wii U. And, once again and sadly; it seems like they're mostly listening with their Japanese ear and not seeing the potential issues in the West.
