Okay that is a good question.   You see I just looked at Nlointendo console sales and with exception of the Wii, their sales have never been giant.  I predict that the mobile nature of the Switch (competing at consoles) at a 300 price will make it sell less than the 3DS. I asaying here that price matters and their history leads me to think that 65 million is a sweet spot.

Switch is a Hybrid their portable performance with the exception of the Virtual Boy has always passed 70m, Switch is also outperforming 3DS in the same time scale at the higher price which contradicts you here.

That's the point I was getting at.  The Switch switch is a hybrid at that more than justifies the price.  But will consumers still by it like their portables? No I don't think so.  I am playing averages here in case some people can't figure out what I'm doimg.

What makes you think its going to sell ~10 million less than 3DS lifetime?

Sure if it remains at $300 for the rest of its life but what are the odds of that?

3DS started at $250 but the entry model is now $80.

Wii started at $250 and was $100 when it stopped selling.

PS4 started at $400 and will be $200 in the next year or two.

Most consoles/handhelds end their run at or less than half their launch price so your reasoning doesnt make a whole lot of sense.

Switch will get multiple price cuts and revisions over the next 5-6 years.

When the herd loses its way, the shepard must kill the bull that leads them astray.

This thread is like a hall of shame for all the Switch doubters.

It's the only portable for the market in the future anyone and everyone who buys portables have only one choice in order to continue portable gaming and at this moment people are buying it like their portables in fact at the current momentum people are buying it faster than any of their other platforms.

Wait a minute.......he thinks PS4 will sell more than Switch this year in Japan?!?!?!?!

Switch will do 5 million and PS4 under 2 million.

No, I meant life to date.

Ok that makes more sense, should be pretty close honestly.

Both will be around 8 million at the end of the year.

So you think PS4 will outsell Switch lifetime in Japan? What basis do you have for this

No he means PS4 will still be above Switch at the end of 2018.

PS4 is currently at ~6.2m and NSW at ~3.5m

Pokemon coming must be the equivalent of the impending Armageddon scenario for negative predictions still floating around it's like in FFVII where the second part of the game has Meteor falling from the sky.

I just spit my juice xDD
