Mario, splatoon, xenoblade, mario kart and the rest of the stuff isn't available on launch day, that's what OP refers to in the title itself. From this picture, nintendo has 5 games on day 1, that's pretty jarring. Sure, Zelda will undoubtedly take up everybody's time for a solid month but still, they seem rather unprepared

As I said before, they need the console out this fiscal year, zelda is a system seller and from march to holidays the console will get a good amount of content. You don't need 5 must have titles at launch, yeah would be way better than just zelda as a system seller from day one, but when your main console is dead and your new platform is ready to go with your most important game that's a good business decision.
It's not like zelda will be the only game in march, will be the only system seller, but then in april you have mario kart 8 deluxe and other games, in May we will see. June you have E3 to create hype with new games and more content that month with games like splatoon 2 and who knows what else.
launch day is important, and they are set with zelda.
