Forums - Nintendo - I'm the only one who disappointed with Xenoblade 2 artstyle?

definitely better looking.
The character models in XCX were absolutely terrible looking. Like bad anime characters. Now they're looking like normal to good anime characters.

Excellent joke.

It´s a fantasy / anime style. I like it.

Honestly, art-style is the last thing I care about when it comes to Xeno games. "What will the story be like?" is the first think I think.

Not true. Xeno X looks easily far better.

Have you played XCX? Characters looks like robots due to plot reasons.

Lin mentions mims are made to replicate human physiology the most accurate possible way, so you don't have a point there.

Also, I'm quite surprised, I thought everyone here was going to bash this new style, I mean, it does look enormously generic, but this, compared to X's models which suffered from the lack-of-any-gesture-whatsoever syndrome, I'd rather stick better with 2's style any day. It's a significant improvement.

My bet with The_Liquid_Laser: I think the Switch won't surpass the PS2 as the best selling system of all time. If it does, I'll play a game of a list that The_Liquid_Laser will provide, I will have to play it for 50 hours or complete it, whatever comes first.

I am bit concerned that every human character so far looked to be between the age of 6 and 8 years old.

But this new area of Mira looked very empty compared to the areas in the first one.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

Nope, but you're wrong nevertheless.

Character design may be generic, but it's miles above the horrendous work XCX did. I remember when we first saw a character face in a trailer. It was a terrible shock, specially when everything else looked so right.

The problem isn't the Anime art style, its the GENERIC anime art style. This looks like the "brown and grey shooter" of anime RPGs. None of the characters stood out, and the MCs pants are RIDICULOUS.

I predict that the Wii U will sell a total of 18 million units in its lifetime.

The NX will be a 900p machine

it's more anime, but feels less blank and unpersonnal to me.
kinda like a Tales Of character, anime, but you remember it when you see it, even if you didn't play it.
