Don't Play Stationary 4 ever. Switch!

If Nintendo wants to charge a subscription fee, they better leave online multiplayer alone. If it's just for discounts and VC games, fine, but I'm not paying for accessing parts of the game I've purchased already. That's theft.

You know it deserves the GOTY.

EA Access but with Nintendo would be amazing, maybe at $30.

They would best "split" their options like with ps3. Leave online free. Yet gave people the option to "subscribe" for games, and random discounts.

The accessories/Amiibos/physical property - would require Nintendo sending that stuff to people. That is very, very awkward.

I think people would super rage if VC got locked behind a pay wall.
I doubt anyone would pay to get "free" smartphone games.

I would pay for the service to get games. The problem is Nintendo doesn't have the games to give away.
If they had the infrastructure free WIi, 3ds, and Switch games would be neat.

Nintendo has been selling stuff/toys direct to people since at least the NES days.

I'm not suggesting locking VC behind a paywall, just offering a subscritpion to it.

Super Mario Run isn't free. Pokemon Go is but the ingame currency isn't.

I can see a system where

1) you have all the same free vs paid tier separation as MSony do on their consoles. Meaning apps and stuff are in the free tier but online gaming, cloud saves, etc are in paid tier.
2) you earn coins in the Nintendo reward system that currently exists. This allows you to save up for the various items they offer.
3) current Nintendo rewards system is beefed up and now starts to offer digital copies of games based on coin values of some sort.

This allows Nintendo to be competitive and build off of the rewards system they already have in place. Would actually drive its usage.

As for cost, Nintendo is a firm believer in their value proposition but they won't push higher than MSony. So, this would remain at the same pricing as their services.

Wouldnt pay for online play on nintendo system honestly.

I would just not buy those games if they locked them behinde pay wall.

And I loved Mario Kart 8 online... something like that would really hurt me.

^ This, basically. I wouldn't mind an optional paid service for those who want it, but putting online behind a paywall is stupid.

I hardly play online with Nintendo systems these days and usually just play by myself or with friends. I haven't even played Mario Kart 8 or Smash online once. I wouldn't pay a dime.

I don't see Nintendo ever charging for online MP, not in the near future anyway.

Using stars/coins is what I was thinking. X amount/month to spend on whatever is available at the digital or 'physical' member's store. I'd give members first dibs on the SNES-classic. Let Nintendo members-only buy as many as they want for resale on Ebay.

£40/yr is a steal for back catalog access depending on where it stops.

Thats a shame, thats what most of my Wii U is used for.

Even then I wouldnt pay for it on a nintendo system either, id just skip the next Mario Kart game, if that was the case.
